1.0 BACKGROUND OF THE SITE

MAKATI CITY, METRO MANILA

Makati is the financial center of the


Philippines. it has the highest concentration of
multinational and local corporations in the
country. Major banks, corporations, department
stores as well as foreign embassies are based in
Makati. The biggest trading floor of the Philippine
Stock Exchange is situated along the city's Ayala
Avenue. Makati is also known for being a major
cultural and entertainment hub in Metro Manila.

With a population of 582,602, Makati is the


17th-largest city in the country and ranked as the
41st most densely populated city in the world with
19,336 inhabitants per square kilometer. Although
its population is just half a million, the daytime
population of the city is estimated to be more
than one million during a typical working day
because of the large number of people who go
to the city to work, shop, and do business.
2.0. GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

GOAL
The goal of this case study is to learn on the most proficient method to locate a decent and reasonable site for
the development of the building, utilizing the site arranging process and the diverse strategies examination in
finding a decent site.

OBJECTIVE
The objective of this case study is to show up the references and materials that will serve to the properties and
state of the site and give a synopsis of the data assembled for which will deal and benefit in planning the
building that will be developed in the site.
3.0 SITE FACTOR

3.1 NATURAL FACTORS
GEOLOGY

The site is under the focal level and practically far for the west valley fault line which is a decent place to
build up a building.

The site has an elevation of 18.
CLIMATE

The site is in the Type I which has a two seasons every year and it is dry from November to April while it is
wet during the rest of the year. The design of the building must be capable in the two seasons and environment.
VEGETATION

The site is extremely poor in


vegetation and for the most part
developed in building. The parcel and
the outline of the building must be
shrouded in vegetation to bring down
warmth, give shade and agreeable
condition.
SOIL

The soil type of this site has a medium dense sand


and firm clay that will suit for the development of the
building and for the vegetation that is planted.
HYDRO

The site is just meters far from Pasig City where the terminal of ferry's are found. This parcel is a best site to
set up a building that is accessible through different kind of transportation.

LINKAGES

The site is a home to a number of fine art museums, colonial-era churches, recreation areas and near to
many types of amenities like commercial malls, city hall, cemetery, communication, parkways and pedestrian
which is useful for the advancement and development of the building.
TRAFFIC

The main road of the site is slow to fast moving lane from week days while in weekends the road is in
moderate moving lane. The minor roads is expected to have a slow moving vehicles during weekdays.
DEMOGRAPHY

Makati has a population of 582,602 as of the 2015 census. Makati ranks ninth in population size within Metro
Manila municipalities. 88.9% of Makati residents identified their religious affiliation as Roman Catholic.[citation
needed] Other groups having large number of members in the city are The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, Ang Dating Daan, Iglesia ni Cristo, Protestantism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism.

Based on the citys Transport and Traffic Improvement Plan 2004-2014, the citys daytime population is
estimated to be 3.7 million during weekdays, owing to the large number of people who come to work, do
business, or shop.
