MODULE OUTLINE
The organizational chart of the company will be created and mapped once in SAP
and in the future will only be maintained through Organizational Management
module. The Organizational chart of the company will consist of Divisions,
Departments and Sections with approved Positions.
TRAINING OBJECTIVE
Upon completion of this course, process user will be familiar with the following

Key/process users of OM
President offices and all Groups, Divisions, Departments, Sections and their
hierarchical components are to be mapped as the organizational units.
Position
All the company approved posts along with their multiplicity will be mapped as
Positions in Organizational Management.
Cost Centre
Cost centers will be used for allocation of the company Payroll costs among
different departments or any other Organizational unit level. Cost centers will be
created in SAP Controlling module and will set the integration between HR and
Accounting modules.

PROCEDURES
Save [Ctrl +S] : allow you to save the data added or changes.
Cancel [Shift + F2] : allow you to cancel the current action being performed.

Maintain Organization Unit
Change the date by clicking , in the pop up change the start and end date click
execute .

Right click on the Organizational unit and click create or click the create button ,
a pop-up window appears. Double click on the organizational unit in the pop-up
window to create another secondary organizational unit.

In the Detail Area, type the name and other details for the organizational unit you
want to add.
Click on the Account Assignment tab. Enter relevant data into the fields of
Business Area, Company Code, Personnel Area and Personnel Subarea from the
list. To display a dropdown list press F4. Also assign the Master cost center to the
organizational unit, if they have been defined.
In the screenshot above, a new organizational unit by the name of Test Org. Unit " is
being created.

Create a Position
Change the date by clicking , in the pop up change the start and end date and click
execute .

Press Create button (F5) or right-click on the organizational unit as shown in the
screenshot above.
A pop-up window appears.

In the Detail Area, type the name and other details for the position you want to add.
Click on the Account Assignment tab. Enter relevant data into the fields of
Business Area, Company Code, Personnel Area and Personnel Subarea from the
list. To display a dropdown list press F4. Also assign the Master cost center to the
position, if they have been defined.
Click on Save (Ctrl+S) to create the position. In the screenshot above, a new
position by the name of 'HR Manager' is being created. You may also save the
validity date and make other notes

Copy a position
Change the date by clicking , in the pop up change the start and end date and click
execute .

Click on the position to be copied and click the copy button.
In the pop up menu, enter the number of copies and check the start and end date.
In the overview section you can see that "Human Resource Manager" position has
been copied.
Change details of the position in the detail section if needed, steps have been
previously mentioned in the creating position section.

Create Object for position
Click F4 in position field, choose position from structure, or enter no. of the position
and click enter.

Choose object and create.
Enter hiring date in validity, also enter object abbreviation and object name. Click
enter and save your entries.

Create Relationships for Positions
Select position, for which relationship is to be created, in the Position field and press
Create button (F5)

Press F4 in the position field and choose the position you want to assign relationship
for from the structure tree, or enter no. of the position.

Press F4 in the Relationship Type field, and double-click on the type of relationship to
be created for the selected position. Use the following guide:
A|002 Reports (line) to Position - Position
A|003 Belongs to Position - Org Unit
B|002 Is line supervisor of Position - Position
B|007 Is described by Position - Job
A|011 Cost center assignment Position - Cost Center
B|012 Is managed by.. Org Unit - Position

Enter the Type of Related Object and ID of Related Object to assign the relationship
between two objects and enter hiring date in valid from as shown below:
