Greetings in the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus!
I am Joebet Ivan Uy Catilogo, 22 years old. I would like to express my interest in coming back to the seminary. I am very much eager to be admitted back to the seminary so as to continue my formation.
I was able to complete my eight years formation and finished Bachelor of Arts Philosophy last March 2015 at the Sacred Heart Seminary. At the end of the school year our prefect of discipline (Rev. Fr. Bryand Restituto) advised me to have a one year leave for the reason that I may be able to grow personally and to gain more experience outside the seminary since I have been in the institution for eight straight years. In compliance to the said advice I went to Manila to look for job that is fitting for me and would eventually help me grow in many aspects. Luckily, I was hired by a company in Makati City as an encoder. There I managed to live on my own since my family was in Leyte, my workplace was far from the place where live so I was able to experience what normal people experience on a daily basis. After two months of staying there I realized how difficult and challenging life in the big city could be, so I decided to come home and look for a job here in Leyte, fortunately I was able to work in an NGO with a contractual program. When the contract expired I tried to look for job in some other government offices but, unfortunately, I was not hired on any of those institution where I applied for reasons that they were hiring permanent workers. So, for almost two years of rediscovering myself outside the seminary I finally came to a decision of coming back to the seminary to continue my priestly formation.
I want to go back because I feel like there is something missing during my two-year stay outside the seminary, I would eventually look for the life I have been used to for the last eight formative years in the seminary. I can still feel the burning desire for the priesthood. In response to this little plea coming from myself I decided to apply and be admitted back to the seminary and serve the one year regency program required by the formation so as to proceed for a theological study and I am hoping to be a priest someday.

I have known Atty. Adryan since first year high school when we became classmates in Sacred Heart Seminary, and we were classmates for ten(10) years until we finished our college course in the University of San Carlos in Cebu City. I have also known Atty. Sharilee Angela since college days being a member of the Youth Ministry. As a couple, I have known them together from the early months of their courtship and until now we are good friends. I have seen how they strived to develop a good relationship and foster a good family. However, until now, they have not yet received from God the blessing of conceiving a child of their own.
From my knowledge about the couple I can attest that they are God fearing, they have good moral character, they are financially stable, and they both come from a good family. I believe that they are more than capable of raising a child and provide for the child a good spiritual, emotional, educational and moral upbringing. As to the basic needs of the child I believe that they can afford more than enough for a childs needs. Sure enough, the couple can provide a bright future for the child. Thus, I give my commendation and blessing to their good intention to adopt a child for the good of the child and for the joy of the couple.
