violations offederalIaw .Ihave been an FBISpecialAgent since January 2015 and have been
ALEXANDER SPERBER (''SPERBER?')with one count ofbank robbery,in violation ofTitle 18,
United States Code,Section 2113(a). respectfully subm it that there is probable cause to
believe that on July 25,2017, SPERBER did know ingly take,by intim idation, from the person
and presence of em ployees of Regions Bank, Iocated at100 Southeast (SE)3rd Avenue,Fort
Lauderdale, Brow ard County, Florida, approxim ately four thousand seven hundred dollars
($4,700.00) in United States currency belonging to, and in the care, custody, control,
m anagem ent,and possession ofRegions Bank,a bank w hose depositsw ere then insured by the
FederalDepositlnsurance Corporation.

establish probable cause for the issuance of a crim inal com plaint against SPERBER for the
2007 red Ford M ustang to the Regions Bank Iocated at 100 SE 3rd Avenue, Fo y.t Lauderdale

Broward County, Florida. The deposits at Regions Bank are insured by the FederalDeposit
InsuranceCorporation(''FDlC'').
5. SPERBER parked hisFord M ustanginthe bank'sparking Iotand entered the bank
at approxim ately 3:06 P.M . SPERBER approached the teller counter, stated he had a gun,and
verbally dem anded that a tellerput m oney into a bag he provided. Using his Ieft index finger
dem ands w ere not m et. The victim teller,in fear for her life and hersafety com plied and

The bank w as equipped w ith surveillance cam eras. lm ages taken by those
cam eras from inside the bank clearly depict SPERBER com m itting the robbery. A cast on
SPERBER fled tbe bank on foot. The dye pack subsequently activated, putting
red dye on SPERBER'S hand, cast and clothing. SPERBER rem oved his clothes and ran naked in

11. Afterbeing advised ofhis M iranda rights and w aiving the sam e by signing a form
the m orning ofJuly 25,2017, and decided to rob a bank,flee by running naked dow n the street
w hile throw ing the m oney stolen during the bank robbery to people in orderto begin his career
as a com edian. SPERBER described the verbal threat he m ade to the victim teller and
dem onstrated pointing his Ieft index finger as ifto convey the im age of a gun. Red dye w as
visible on the caston SPERBER'S Ieftw rist and the Ieft pocket of his pants. This interview w as
audio recorded.
CONCLUSION
12. Based on m y training and experience, and as further supported by the facts in
this affidavit, I respectfully subm it that probable cause exists to charge SPERBER with
know ingly,by m eans ofintim idation, taking from the person and presence ofan em ployee ofa
Southeast Third Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Brow ard County, Florida, in violation of Title 18
