Modals of obligation

MUST
We usually use must when you think something is necessary or important.
I must leave now. I dont want to be late.

MUSTNT
We use mustnt to tell someone not to do something. (Prohibition)
Father: You mustnt pull the cats tail.

HAVE TO
We use have to when a law or another person says that something is necessary.
We have to wear a uniform at my school.

DONT /DOESNT HAVE TO


We use dont have to or doesnt have to when something is not necessary.
I dont have to wear a uniform at my school. I can wear what I like.

SHOULD
We use Should to give advice and to say what we think it is good or right.
You should eat fruit every day.

SHOULDNT
We use Shouldnt when you think its not a good thing to do.
Tom shouldnt go to bed so late.
