    Well, this is THE week... April 14No School, Good Friday


    April 17 1/2 day, 11:45 release, Teacher
    When I was hired five years ago, one of the hopes of the board was for MVCA
    PIR day
    to become an accredited school. Our school had been affiliated with the Asso-
    ciation of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) and the Association of Christian April 19-21 Accreditation Team Visit
    Schools International (ACSI). In doing some research, we decided to pour our
    May 1-5 Upper School CPT 4 testing
    energy into focusing on just one path of accreditation. We chose ACSI because
    it would fit the regional accreditation of AdvancEd that local public schools and May 4 PTA Meeting 3:30 pm
    universities used. That way, students that wanted to transfer between any Mis- May 5 Ag Day for 3rd & 4th grade
    sion Valley school would be accepted at MVCA and vice versa.
    May 8 Board Meeting
    As we began this journey, I decided to ask educators that I respect how to even May 8-12 Lower School CPT-4 testing
    begin the accreditation process. A team of experienced educators met with Car-
    olyn Hall and me and we began the foundation of gathering evidence in curric- May 19th MVCA Graduation 7:00 pm
    ulum and other important areas. Later we met with Ken Townsend to see if it May 26th Last Day of School-All school
    was possible for MVCA to become a candidate for accreditation with ACSI.
    With his guidance and direction and many of you who gave of your time and BBQ
    energy, we began this three year process.

    Ken will actually lead the visitation team this week as they observe classes, visit
    with students, staff and you parents. They will also have a meeting with the
    board to go over policy and procedures in which the leadership is responsible.
    Please consider joining us on this Thursday (20th) morning from 8:30 to
    9:00 to chat with them. Your input will be very helpful in determining if we are
    moving in a positive direction. We hope to have a favorable recommendation

    from the team and should hear that verdict Friday afternoon.

    I am so grateful for the partnership we have with each family and the honor and
    privilege of having you in our school community. Together, we can accomplish Soup
    the mission of providing a Christ centered quality education developing lifelong
