This course is an IRCA (International Register
of Certificated Auditors) certificated course in
the origin and Development of the current
Standards, the fundamentals and benefits of
quality and the role of management.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND - PRIOR KNOWLEDGE

The course gives a detailed introduction to
the requirements of the International
Standard ISO 9001:2008 and the related
Quality Standards ISO 9000:2005 and ISO
9004:2009; the structuring of a Quality
Management System using the Process
Approach and the benefits in terms of
reduced costs and improved efficiency,
from the implementation of a system.
ON COMPLETION
The course is intended for all levels of

personnel who are requiring an
understanding or who will become a quality
practitioner and proving significant for those
who will attend the Internal QMS Auditor and
Lead Auditor Training Courses.

2 DAY
COURSE INTRODUCTION
This is an advanced course for those wishing
to gain an in-depth understanding of the
auditing skills required for effective internal
auditing of managements systems. Our expert
tutors' have combined a series of auditing
techniques to help build student confidence
and knowledge.
The course addresses the ISO 9000:2000
series of standards, but the skills acquired
are also applicable to auditing of
Environmental Management Systems.

Personnel wishing to gain an insight into
auditing practice, those who will or currently
have responsibilities for auditing the Quality
Management System or for those who are
planning to attend the IRCA QMS Lead
Auditor Training Course.
Participants should have attended the IRCA
QMS Foundation Course Q1 or be able to
demonstrate knowledge of the ISO
9000:2005 series of standards including ISO
9001:2008 to an equivalent level acceptable
to IRCA.

Quality Management Systems seeking to
operate with independent assessment bodies
and satisfies the IRCA/IATCA requirements
for Auditor/Lead Auditor Training to ISO
9001:2008.

Those anxious to qualify as external auditors
and anyone seeking a detailed understanding
of Quality Management Systems to ISO
9001:2008 Standard and their

attending the Foundation Course which is
providing pivotal, prior to attending the Lead
Auditor Course.

Delegates are coached in the philosophy,
structure and implementation of Quality
Management Systems, the requirements of
ISO 9001:2008, along with reference to
ISO 9000:2005 including the guidance
document for improvement and managing
for sustained success, ISO 9004:2009 and
the techniques for auditing such systems.
Case-studies are examined in relation to
audit findings as the basis for developing
report-writing skills. Videos, role plays and
practical exercises are used to enhance the
knowledge and techniques involved in
undertaking audits.
