Passover
These Festivals are celebrated during the times of the spring harvest and the
fall harvest every year. We have already celebrated the Spring Harvest
Festivals; Passover, Unleavened Bread, First Fruits and Pentecost. These
Festivals have to do with the first coming of Messiah. The last three of the
seven Festivals, known as the Fall Festivals, have to do with the second
coming of Messiah; Yom Teruah or Trumpets, Yom Kippur or Day of
Atonement and Sukkot or Tabernacles. This feast starts the Fall Festivals and
is known as the the Day of Blowing (Yom Teruah).

18 And
Ephraims Purpose
YHVHs Restoration Plan of salvation is for "all of Israel", both Houses and He
will use the House of Ephraim provoke the House of Judah to "jealousy." but
Ephraim will be "jealous" of Judah as well.
Rom 11:11 I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May
it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the
Gentiles, to make them jealous.
Isa 11:12-13 He will set up a banner for the nations, And will assemble
the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from
the four corners of the earth. 13 Also the envy of Ephraim shall depart,
and the adversaries of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim shall not envy
Judah, and Judah shall not harass Ephraim.
In the last days, all this will be revealed; Ephraim's jealousy of Judah "will
depart" when Ephraim learns of his own Hebraic roots and Judah shall not
harass Ephraim anymore.
The Two Houses are revealed in the Berit Chadashah (NT) through the
parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32): The "returning prodigal"
(Ephraim) made the older son (Judah) jealous, by the feast that was prepared
and celebrated. For the Christians to discover the Hebrew Roots and starting
to celebrate the Festivals will provoke Judah to jealousy and thus the
importance of celebrating these lost Festivals that are foreign to most
Christians in order to fulfil prophecy.
Q - So how might we celebrate this Day of Blowing?
Have two trumpets, one for "Judah and one for Ephraim", sound them
together when you gather together. Then, based on Numbers 10:1-10, issue
the clarion call: "Let the twin voices of Ephraim and Judah be heard in this
place!"
Can we blow a rams horn instead of silver trumpets? Yes, you can. The
significance of this feast is in the hearing of the blowing or Teruah that also
means shouting, making a joyful noise. It is good if you have two silver trumpets
to signify the spiritual significance of this Feast but if you only have shophars,
that will still fulfil the importance of teruah, that means to call or shout.
Hebrew Marriage
The Rapture or Gathering of the Bride can be
explained at the hand of the Hebrew marriage. The
Hebrew Marriage consists of two main parts; the
Contract or ketubah and the gathering. During
betrothal, you are legally married, but the Bride
and Groom do not live together as a married
couple until a house is prepared for them to live in.
The betrothal or ketubah is legally binding that
you cannot get out of it without a divorce. We as believers in Messiah have
confirmed this first part of the Marriage Covenant by the receiving of His Spirit
(symbolising the engagement ring Eph 1:14).
The Second Stage is called the Gathering where the Groom will come and
collect his bride so that she can live with Him in the house he prepared. The
two parts of our Marriage Covenant is symbolised by the Hebrew Marriage:
Between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur, the 10 days are referred to as the
Days of Awe where people have the chance to repent to ensure their names
are written in the Book of Life. We as believers in Messiah believe that Yom
Kippur has to do with YHVHs Judgement and this time of repentance is
significant to us as well.
Personal Application: Yom Teruah is the starting point of the ten days of
repentance that leads to Yom Kippur, the day of the Fast. We as Believers
must use this time to do introspection and reflect back into our lives to see
if we have grown or move forward in our spiritual walk, or have moved
backwards, moving away from YHVH. This is a time to reflect on
relationships, and if you have anything against a brother of sister, then you
have to forgive and repent so that you know that your name will be in the
Book of Life. Unforgiveness is one of the things that can cause you to lose
your salvation and your name to be blotted out from the Book of Life.
Rev 3:3,5 Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold
fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as
a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you. 5 He
who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot
out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before
My Father and before His angels. 6 He who has an ear, let him hear
what the Spirit says to the churches.
Blowing the Shophar / Trumpets: According to Jewish tradition the blowing
of the shophar consists of 100 blasts with 4 primary types of blasts. The
Scripture only specifies the blowing of the trumpets, and there is no detail on
how it is to be done. This means that it is more important to know why you
blow the shophar / trumpet than how you blow it.
Fruit Harvest: This Feast falls during the time of the fruit harvest and its
celebration goes hand in hand with the use of fruit as
decorations on the tables as well as the eating of fruit. The
Jewish custom is to eat apples dipped in honey, and we as
believers in Yshua connect this theme to the fruit of the
Spirit that will be evident during the time prior to the Second
Coming of Messiah, bringing the sweetness of His Salvation
to all nations to all those who overcame.
