Graduation Rehearsal: Bojangles Coliseum, Thursday, June 6th from 2:30 4:00 pm
Rehearsal is Mandatory per CMS Policy. Failure to attend rehearsal will result in the senior not being able to participate in the Graduation Ceremony on June 8. NO EXCEPTIONS. Friends and family are not allowed in the arena during rehearsal.
Graduation: Bojangles Coliseum, Saturday, June 8th from 7:30pm 9:30 pm
A letter will be going home with all seniors on Tuesday, May 28th with details about rehearsal, graduation, expectations and professional photos and videos that will be made during the ceremony. This information can also be accessed off our AK website after May 28th. Tickets are not necessary for graduation and there is not a limit on the number of guests that can attend.
********************************************************************************************** Transportation Information 2013-2014 On Friday, May 24th, all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will be receiving the 2013-14 CMS Request for Transportation Form in Homerooms. If you would like your child to receive transportation to or from school, they must follow the instructions on the form. If they have lost the form by some chance, a link will be available on the AK website where you can go to complete the process. CAFETERIA LUNCH ACCOUNTS STUDENTS OWING THE CAFETERIA MONEY MUST PAY THEIR ACCOUNT IN FULL IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THEIR REPORT CARD OR GRADUATE. GRADUATING SENIORS WHO HAVE A BALANCE OF $5 OR MORE IN THEIR ACCOUNT MAY REQUEST A REFUND BY CONTACTING CHILD NUTRITION AT 980343-6041 OR childnutrition@cms.k12.nc.us. PLEASE INCLUDE YOUR NAME, STUDENT ID# AND CURRENT MAILING ADDRESS. ALL RETURNING STUDENTS ACCOUNTS WILL CARRY OVER TO NEXT YEAR. IF A STUDENT IS TRANSFERRING WITHIN CMS THEIR ACCOUNT WILL AUTOMATICALLY TRANSFER TO THEIR NEW SCHOOL.
Yearbook News! The Yearbook, Excalibur, will be distributed to seniors on Friday, May 24, and to underclassmen on Tuesday, May 28. Lists will be posted outside C208 and in the mall of students who purchased the book and other items. Please let your student know if you purchased a book for him or her. Registration Website: http://www.heartofachampionday.org through May 24th Bus leaves AK at 8:45am SHARP Will return to AK by 11:15am FOR SAT test takers there will be a time slot from 2-3pm where you can drive to College of Health at CMC Main for your CMC health screening.
CALLING ALL PARENTS OF rising 10th, 11th & 12th GRADERS Do you remember that first year at Ardrey Kell? How did you know where to go for updates? How did you know who to talk to about concerns or what a procedure was? Remember how you just wished you had someone you could call to pose these questions to? Now on top of this, imagine being a brand new student & family that just relocated here from another city or another local school . If so, then I hope you will consider being a "Knight in Shining Armor" to a new AK Family next school year (2013/14). The idea behind this program is to have seasoned veteran family & students of AK share their knowledge and wisdom with new parents& students and just help them FEEL WELCOME. It will not take up a lot of your time but, would mean so much to a family & student just starting out here. Help a great cause! :-) Ardrey Kell JROTC Knights' Court School Beautification Project The Ardrey Kell MCJROTC is still taking orders for brick purchases for our Knights Court walkway, located in the front of our school. Bricks cost $50 and include three lines of engraving. A perfect way to leave a legacy for your student, past or present, or simply as a family brick! Makes a great senior gift!
