Florian Solbacher, a University of Utah engineering professor, is making connections that transmit brain activity to a computer a reality today. The research and work hes doing to develop new neural interface technology could have limitless applications, including developments for prosthetic limbs, nervous system disorders (epilepsy, Parkinsons, deafness, blindness, etc.) and countless other elds.

I have felt just as included as every other student during my time at the U. There is a strong support system for women on campus and I have never once felt excluded. At the U, students in the College of Mine & Earth Sciences are experiencing graduate-level internship and research opportunities as undergrads at Shell Oil, Exxon, and SM Energy Company. Deferment requests will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may be granted for reasons including illness, military service, and humanitarian or religious service. Supporting documentation must be provided with the application for deferment, and you can defer up to a maximum of seven consecutive semesters (including summers). Every actor dreams of someday making it to Broadway. For Claybourne Elder that dream has become a reality. A graduate of the University of Utahs Department of Theatre, he has waited for years and gone through many an audition to get to where he is now. Not only did he make his debut in Bonnie and Clyde recently but is set to star alongside Jason Alexander this spring in the musical Two by Two, featuring music by Richard Rodgers.
