A proven data centre. Expertise you can trust.

Committing to excellence Our data centres are certified to the following international standards:

Powergate provides your business with a wide range of benefits.

Performance from a proven data centre Initially constructed from an investment of 60 million, the enhanced facility is receiving a further 120 million investment to ensure it sets the standard in data centres. While zones one to eight within Powergate remain fully operational, the project will see us building on this proven success and applying our specialist focus to the development of the new zones 920. Flexibility to scale to your needs The data centres flexible and modular design means its infrastructure can adapt exactly to your organisations requirements. A density of 20kW of power per rack across the floor plan providing, on average, 2kW per square metre can be achieved without the use of proprietary in-row cooling solutions through the deployment of passive air flow management. This enables the data centre to manage even the most demanding infrastructure, such as highdensity blade technologies. Highest levels of resilience and redundancy Powergate has been designed as a Tier 3 data centre, delivering high levels of resiliency and redundancy to ensure your critical systems are always available. Saving energy and reducing costs The data centres energy-efficient design and use of innovative technologies help you to meet your sustainability targets and reduce the costs to your business. As energy-efficiency is built into every aspect of the building, this leads to lower costs for our customers. Unrivalled connectivity choices Powergate already offers a leading choice of carriers with resilient network access and POPs onsite. The choice includes over 400 carriers from other TelecityGroup sites, helping you reduce communication costs and enhance performance. Prime location Situated close to the centre of London within zone 2 and near the city's many transport links, Powergate is easily accessible and delivers superb availability of power and networks. Giving your business room to grow Delivering an additional 10,000 m of capacity and 21MW of customer power. We are expanding Powergate in planned stages ahead of demand to ensure your business has the capacity it needs to grow.

Resilient and redundant. A data centre you can rely on.

Designed and built by engineering experts, Powergate is a standard-setting data centre that ensures your critical systems are always available.

Power Powergate provides robust and reliable power with flexible densities and configuration between 4kW and 20kW per rack. 29MW of UPS conditioned power at 2N. Redundant 66kV HV power system diversely-fed from the grid with a dedicated onsite step-down substation. Back-up diesel generation at N+1 to support site load in the case of HV failure. Maximum diversity and separation of UPS system and power distribution through dedicated A & B supplies.

Cooling A robust HVAC system delivers stable air flow, temperature and humidity for efficient equipment operation. Designed to Tier 3, the HVAC system provides a minimum of N+1 redundancy and all CRAC units and pumps have dedicated back-up UPS systems. Our design and investment in cooling systems will ensure the data centre achieves a class-leading PUE of 1.35. Minimum N+1 redundancy on chilled water cooling system. Fully concurrently maintainable, dual path secondary chilled water distribution. Close Control Units (CCUs) provide conditioned air to the data floor, at a minimum N+2 redundancy. Cooling towers enhance efficiency and maximise the use of free cooling. Centrifugal chillers with variable speed compressor drives enable excellent full and part-load operation.
