EC-Type Examination Certificate PTB 00 ATEX 3116
(15) Description of the component Terminal boxes, series 8125/1... and 8125/2..., made of sheet steel or stainless sheet steel, for fixed installation, with - separately certified - line-up terminals for non-intrinsically safe or separately certified - intrinsically safe circuits. The empty enclosures used are tested as components and specified in EC Type Examination Certificate PTB 00 ATEX 3111 U Type 8125/1... can additionally be equipped with - separately certified - isolating terminals and/or fuses. The marking with the identification symbol of the types of explosion protection is to be adapted to the components used. For intrinsically safe circuits, the box or area around the box is marked, e.g. with light blue colour. Technical data Rated voltage: max. 1100 V (depending on the operating voltage range of the terminals used) -50 C Tamb +55 C -50 C Tamb +75 C min. IP 54 to EN 60 529: 1991
Ambient temperature range, max. for type 8125/1...: Ambient temperature range, max. for type 8125/2...: Contact, foreign particles and ingress of water protection:
Rated current, number of conductors and conductor cross section are stipulated in the ascertained supplementary sheets. Note The terminal boxes are suitable for an ambient temperature range of -20 C to +40 C. The suitability for deviating ambient temperature ranges is visible by special marking. Only such separately certified - gaskets and - separately certified - built-in and built-on parts, suitable for these temperatures, are used. Additional instructions of the manufacturer have to be followed. Terminal boxes containing fuses and/or, beside the usual non-intrinsically safe circuits, intrinsically safe circuits, are provided with an additional marking. max. number of terminals depending on the above mentioned enclosure size and the cross section resp. max permissible conductor cross section of the built-in terminals
Notes 1) Each incoming conductor and each internal connection wire is counted as a conductor. Bridges and earthing conductors are not counted. 2) additional conductors optional 3) to be specified by the manufacturer (including temperature rise test) 4) When applying the values of this table simultaneous factors or load factors to IEC 439 may be considered. Mixed equipment with circuits of different cross sections and currents is possible if the various values of the table are applied proportionally: Example: (general) cross section / mm 2,5 16 25 current / A 16 50 63 number of conductors 10 (of 30) 12 (of 48) 36 (of 90) total utilization = 33 % = 25 % = 40 % = 98 % < 100 %
