& Section B.

3. When Keep scale is selected (default), cropping the image does not
change the scale of the picture.
When Keep image size is selected, cropping produces enlargement (for
positive cropping values), shrinking (for negative cropping values), or
distortion of the image so that the image size remains constant.
4. A Page Break is used to determine where the printed page ends and
begins the next one, so the content before the page break will be
printed on one page and after the page break on another.
5. Data > Consolidate provides a way to combine data from two or more
ranges of cells into a new range while running one of the several
functions (such as Sum or Average) on the data. During consolidation,
the contents of cells from several sheets can be combined into one
place. The effect is that copies of the identified ranges are stacked with
their top left corners at the specified result position, and the selected
operation is used in each cell to calculate the result value.
6. DBMS stands for the database management system. It is a
computerized Record-Keeping system or software that enables you to
create, store, modify and extract information from a database. The
main function of DBMS is to provide efficient and reliable methods to
the users for data retrieval. In addition, it saves your time efforts and
reduces the chances of errors creeping into the database to a great
extent.
7. Following are the three main types of computer networks, based upon
the geographical area as follows:

i. Local Area Network (LAN)


ii. Metropolitan Area Network (MAN)
iii. Wide Area Network (WAN)
8. Antivirus and Antispyware programs offer real-time protection
monitoring your computer for any changes by malware software. Keep
your Antivirus and Antispyware software always up to date, this can
help in protecting your computer from any threats.

11. To link data from one spreadsheet to another in Excel, you can:

1. Open the source and destination spreadsheets.


2. Click on the cell you want to link the source to and type "=" in
your destination.
3. Navigate to the spreadsheet you wish to use as the source.
4. Click on the cell you wish to link to the destination and press
enter.

You can also link data by:


o Copying it from the source file and then pasting it as links.
o Typing in the “=” sign (plus optionally a function name) and then
jumping to another worksheet and highlighting the arguments.

When you link a cell to another sheet, the data in this cell will be
automatically synchronized and updated whenever the data in your
source cell changes.
Linking data is especially important when multiple people are working
on the same spreadsheet.

12. A form is a printed or typed document with blank spaces for


insertion of the required or requested information. Likewise, Access
provides forms that prompt the user to provide information that can be
fed into the database. They allow you to add and update data in one
record at a time in a table.
Access provides the three main view in which a form is displayed:
Form view: this view is used to enter or edit data.
Design view: this view is used to adjust the design of your form it gives
you a more detailed view of the structure of forms like header, detail
and footer sections.
Layout view: this view is used to change the look and feel of a form it is
useful for setting the size of controls and changing their appearance.

i. EmpNo can be selected as a primary key.


ii. EmpName is having unique values, but there is no guarantee that
if more employees are included then there would not be multiple
people with similar names.
So, in future its values may be duplicate. Thus, it cannot be made
as a primary key.
2. E-Ticket or electronic ticket is the digital ticket equivalent of a paper
ticket. IRCTC (Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation) is used
to book and cancel rail tickets.
To book the ticket on IRCTC, follow the given steps:
Step 1: Open the IRCTC site by www.irctc.co.in address. The home
page of IRCTC will appear on the screen.
Step 2: Enter in From and To fields, class type and click on Find
Trains option.
Step 3: Search the train and click on Check Availability and Fare to
find the availability of train and book now.
Step 4: The following page will display. If you have an account on
IRCTC then enter login name and password otherwise click
on REGISTER button.
Step 5: Individual Registration page will appear, fill the details and
click on Register button.
Step 6: After this, a window will appear as shown below
Step 7: Enter the required fields and click on Continue Booking.
Step 8: Travelling Passengers page will be appear as shown below.
Step 9: Click on Continue Booking. Payment options page will be
display on the screen. Select the appropriate option and enter details.
Step 10: Payment Page will be appear as shown below. Fill your bank
details and click on Proceed button.

Step 11: E-ticket will be generated on screen as well as sent to your


registered e-mail id.
