A call to Quaker women to join again for the Quaker Women's Conference to be held November 10-13, 2011, at the beautiful HeartO-Hills Conference Center near Tahlequah, OK. A working conference for Quaker women who seek to: Draw closer to God and to each other Build bridges across the spectrum of Quakerism Strengthen the Quaker witness through womens voices Trust that the Inward Teacher, the Christ Within, the Inner Light, the Holy Spirit, will be present to guide us. The theme for the 2011 Conference is "Weaving the Tapestry of Women's Lives." There is registration deadline of October 1st, 2011. Costs vary from $115 to $270 depending on room sharing and length of stay. A $10 discount is available to women who register by September 1. The 2011 Conference will have a slightly different format this year. The Conference itself will take place from the evening of Friday, November 11th, through noon on Sunday, November 13th. Hopefully the shorter schedule will make it easier for busy women to attend. But for those able to take more time from their other obligations, a one-day retreat in advance of the Conference is also available. Kathryn Damiano, a Friend and spiritual director, will facilitate a retreat beginning the evening of Thursday, November 10th, with the theme "Gathering the Threads: A Time for Listening."
