1. INTRODUCTION
This report presents the structure steel design calculations for – SPOOL FABRICATION
SHOP – IN KHURSANIYA NORTHEN AREA
2. MATERIALS
Structural Steel
All structural steel design, fabrication and erection shall be performed in accordance with the
requirements of AISC Manual of Steel Construction and Specifications.
Structural Steel:
Shall conform to ASTM 992. Minimum yield strength shall be 345Mpa (50 Ksi)
High Strength Bolts:
Shall conform to ASTM A325, TYP 1, Nuts shall conform to ASTM A563
, Grade DH.
3. DESIGN CODES AND STANDARDS
Structural design and material selection conform to the requirements of the latest Design
Codes and Standards and also conform to site-specific Geotechnical Engineering Reports.
Metric versions of Codes and Standards where published have been used, Specifically,
structural design is an accordance with the following:

5. Load Combinations
Load combinations according to ASCE are used in the process of checking various structural
elements:
All structure and components are designed (foundations shall be designed) to resist stresses
produced by load combinations in accordance with ACI 350 & ASCE and the following as
applicable to the project location and conditions.
