    Is animal testing moral?

    ARGUMENTATIVE ESSAY

    Did you know 115 million animals world wide are used in laboratory experiment
    each year? Around in 500 b.c in the ancient Greece, animal experimentation is a
    normal practice to acquired knowledge of the mechanism of organism, and it was
    established by galen a physician a.k.a the father of vivisection.
    What is animal testing, animal testing or also called as: animal experimentation,
    animal research and vivisection is a laboratory experiment that uses animals to
    study the development and progression of a viruses and diseases. Famous product
    like: Avon, mac, dior, maybeline, colgate, axe, unileve, png, calvin klein, glade,
    Cloroxand and etc conducted animal testing to provide enough knowledge about
    their products before it can be use by the public.
    However, not all animals can be used in experimentation, the majority of getting
    animals for animal testing is depending to the species if it's genetically capable of
    the Dna of a human, Mice and rats make up approximately 95% of all laboratory
    animals, so this make up as a commonly used animals
    But why they are conducting animal testing? Based on National Institute of health,
    animals are used extensively to test the sufficiency and safety of the compounds
    produces by the chemicals, cosmetics and drug industries, in short they uses animal
    to be able to ensure our safety.

    But the question nevertheless remains, is animal testing moral? Based on my


    personal perspective, Animal testing is Ethical, for the reason that animal testing is
    an important component or part in every field of medical research, and it plays
    crucial role in acquiring knowledge in the field of biology. In our current
    generation there's so many products that is successfully test on animals and
    effectively help us like Pencillin, insulin, covid 19 vaccine, HIV treatment, implant
    and medical devices, cancer treatment and etc.

    Despite of the good effect of animal testing, many scientist also believes that
    animal testing is expensive, time consuming and cannot guaranteed consumers
    safety, also animal testing does not achieve its intendable result, according to
    unites states of America food and drug administration 8% of product that is test on
    animals is successful and 92% doomed to failed, whats more is that animal testing
    can lead to mass extinction of their species. Animals can’t talk so they are never
    given an options if they want to participate in experimentation whether they like it
    or not, as a person who loves science and dreaming to be in the medical field in
    spite of being animal lover I will do what is right, indeed it is better to buy
    products that is cruelty free, animal sacrifices there life just for us right?
    Furthermore, medical laboratory scientist is now developing alternative way of
    conducting animal testing like: testing cells and tissue in the test tubes, stem
    research, 3d tissue culture and clinical research involving people which is the
    opposite of animal testing.
    In conclusion Animal testing is ethical because it protect human lives, It also
    conduct study that will help lots of people specially in the medical field, That's all
    thank you.
