Before the Recovery
Compatibility z When using old PC module (the order number of FRU: 115-041021-00) and old
remarks: HDD module, the software version should be:
Old OS version: V3.0 or lower
Doppler version: no limitation
Warning: if using old PC module + new OS version, the system will display the
following information during recovery.
z When using new PC module (the order number of FRU: 115-042940-00) and
new HDD module, the software version should be:
New OS version: V4.0 or higher
New Doppler version: 02.00.00 (Rev19070) or higher
Warning 1: if using new PC module + new OS version, it is not allowed to
recover to old Doppler version; otherwise the machine cannot be used.
Warning 2: if using new PC module + old OS version, the system will display
the following information during recovery.
(1) This document describes how to recover the software of DC-70 Diagnostic Ultrasound System.
The recovery includes operating system (Windows 7) recovery and application software (Doppler
software) recovery.
Note: This document is applicable to all versions unless specialized otherwise.
(2) Determine current software version: turn on the DC-70 machine, press Setup key Æ [About].
Write down current System Software Version number.
(3) You need the following items:
a) A recovery USB flash drive with pre-loaded software from Mindray, or
b) Recovery package files (ZIP file) and an empty USB flash drive with minimum 8GB space.
(4) Make sure the DC-70 is connected to AC power throughout the recovery. Do not disconnect the
power or shut down the system during the recovery process.
(5) All user installed drivers, including printer driver will be erased during Windows 7 recovery. You
will have to reinstall them after the software recovery.
(6) The first several times of boot-up process after operating system recovery may seem longer than
usual, this is normal.

1 Step One - Data Backup
(1) Back up user preset data.
User preset data may be erased during the recovery. Mindray strongly recommends
backing up user presets prior to the recovery.
To back up user presets to a USB flash drive:
Plug a USB flash drive into the machine, press Setup key on the keyboard, click [Maintenance],
select the type of the preset data, and click [Export]. Select USB drive, type a name for the preset
data file and click OK.
(2) Back up patient data.
Even though patient data including patient info, images, cine loops and reports
usually will not be affected during recovery, for safety consideration, Mindray strongly
recommends having all the patient data backed up before the recovery.
Refer to operator’s manual for detailed instructions of how to backup patient data.
Patient data and presets from a software version might not be compatible with other
software versions.

formatting if necessary.
2. The system supports only FAT32 format USB disk.
3. The system supports only FAT32 format USB disk.
Plug the USB flash drive into a virus-free computer (we take Windows operating system as an
example). Go to My Computer, right click the USB flash drive (Removable Disk) icon and select
