Fon Poo Thai Dance; and
c. execute the steps of the Fon Poo Thai Dance.

Good morning Ma’am Lady Ann
Before anything else, Kindly stand up for our short
prayer and let’s feel the presence of the Lord!

May I ask Ms. Jenny to kindly lead us a prayer?


Let’s bow our heads and feel the presence of the
Lord. (The student will take the lead, stand and do the
prayer.)

Let's bow our head and let us pray. Our most


gracious, kind heavenly Father we thank you for this
wonderful day that you have given to us, We thank
you for another day in our life and to all the
blessings that you’ve given us. As we start our class
today Lord, we humbly ask your guidance and your
wisdom of knowledge for us to understand what
Ma’am Lady Ann will teach us. Forgive us oh Lord
into our sins and keep us away from harm. This is all
we pray in Jesus name we pray. Amen!

What’s about Varsovienne? Ma’am, Varsovienne dance is a very graceful Polish
dance created using elements of waltz, mazurka &
polka. .

lesson. With that we are having a short activity.

B. Motivation
Today we will be having a fun game called
GUESS THE MISSING LETTERS
Directions: Divide the class into two, before each
group can make a guess they must first win the
jack en poy with their opposing team. Whoever
team guessed more letter wins the game. (Students are participating in the group activity)

I. First Posture (Bua Toom or Budding Lotus)
1. The dancers raise both arms forward highly at the
head lever, turn both palms out and touch wrists
together, close thumbs and index fingers together.
2. Hands keep moving by rolling both wrists around.
Turning each hand up and down by 4 counts
alternately.

II. Second Posture (Bua Baan or Blooming Lotus)
1. The dancers raise right arms sideway in curving
line about head level, palms out.
2. Raise left hands at buckle level, palms up, close
thumbs and index fingers together.
3. Arms and hands sustain for 4 beats then change to
reverse position.
4. The floor plan is arranged in circular line.
5. The dancers in the left line move in clockwise
manner.
6. The dancers in the right line move in anti-
clockwise manner.
7. They move for one round in 16 counts and form 2
straight lines then turn around oneself by 8 counts.

III. Third Posture (Mayuret Rampaen or Peacock
spreads its tails)
1. Raise both hands to the right side at the waist
level, palms up, close thumbs and index fingers
together. Then turn both palms down, let loose
thumbs and index fingers.
2. Move both hands to the left side in reverse
manner.
3. Push both hands backward, stretch, palms down.
4. Pull both arms forward at the head level, palms
inside, then cur the fingers to turn palms out. 5. For
the floor plan, the dancers in each line walk
downstage in pair, separate, and walk upstage, then
walk downstage again by counting 3 sets of 8 beats,

then turn around oneself by 8 counts.

IV. Fourth Posture (Sida Loh Haad or Nang Al Liab
Don, meaning Maiden Sida strolls along the beach,
or Maiden Ai strolls along the hill).
1. The dancers raise left arms and hands at the
temple level, palms in, stretch the right arms

forward, arms and hands keep moving continuously


and alternately by 4 counts at each side.
2. The floor plan is arranged by merging the two
straight lines upstage into one straight line. The
dancers walk downstage and separate to form two
parallel lines. The odd numbers move to the right
and the even numbers move to the left. All counts 16
beats then turn around for 8 counts.

V. Fifth Posture (Naki Muan Haang, or Snake curls
its tail).
1. The two dancers at the left side raise right arms at
the shoulder level with elbows to forearms in
vertical line, palms up, point the finger tips sideway.
2. Push the left arms backward, palms up; close the
thumb and the index fingers together.
3. The two dancers at the right side demonstrate the
reverse manner.
4. The floor pattern is arranged for the dancers at
each side to dance across the stage in the opposite
directions by counting 8 beats, turn oneself by s

1. The dancers raise right arms sideway at the head

straight backward, palms out.
2. The movements of arms and hancs start from
raising both hands at the chest level, palms in, close
the thumbs and index fingers together, then slowly
