INTRODUCTION
The English Language has always been regarded as the challenging subject
despite an increase in the percentage of passes in the 2008 UPSR examination. After
years of teaching and learning, pupils are still lacking in the listening, speaking, reading
and writing skills especially those in the rural schools, thus resulting in the low
achievement of pupils.
RATIONALE
To motivate and help pupils have a better command of the English Language in a
systematic teaching and learning programme which includes a variety of activities and
strategies.

Dear Sulaiman,
Glad to hear from you. It is good to have friends to exchange news with.
Thanks for telling me about your family.
I would also like to tell you about someone in my family. She is my eldest sister.
She is one of my favourite people and I love her very much. But I never tell her that. My
sister has one weakness. She likes to eat chocolates. Lots and lots of chocolates.
She is fifteen years old, but if you see her, she does not look fifteen. She is
rather plump. She has beautiful black eyes with thick eyelashes. She always smiles
and laughs a lot. But she also likes to grumble because she wants to lose weight.
Every time, when there is a slimming product on television, she would ask our father to
buy it for her.
My father never buys the product. But he always likes to tease her about her
chocolates. He says that she could easily slim down by eating less chocolates and
exercising regularly.
Well, hope to hear from you again. Do tell me about a person that you like very
much.
