INTRODUCTION.

In the content of my academic essay I will be deeply expressing

more of my life journey in a tree of life. I will be discussing more
about different circumstances I have faced and how I conquered
some of them. I will also be telling more who is Luthando Symons
and where does he come from.

ROOTS AND TRUNK:LIFE BACKGROUND

I am Luthando Mhlengi Symons who is a well grown teenager who’s

18 years old and I was born in 2006 14 February on valentines day. I
am a young teenager who is gifted in acting drama. I come from
Richards Bay Mandlanzini where I grew up residing at. I was born
speaking IsiZulu of which is currently my language of
communication. I grew up residing with my family of which it's my
grandmother and my mother and her sisters who are also mothers
to my life. I would tell them words of appreciation to them as I have
grown up to be at this age.

The most significant memory from my childhood was that I was

once a victim of bullying in primary grades I was 10 years old. I was
first bullied against my surname. Learner’s that time did not
understand a person who was using a white surname when I was
probably seen that I am black. I was called names by other peers.
That impacted me to hating school some of the days in a point
where I decided not to enter the school anymore instead I was riding
my transport to school but stay outside the school the whole day
until school out.

The Family part of my life that shaped the person I am today was the
part where they taught me life values in general. My family as a
whole were like parents to contribute in my life growing era. The
most significant part that shaped me a better person today was the
full presence of my parents guiding my growing stage. decent ,
innocent and a responsible person. As they also taught me about
my cultural beliefs and also told me about our family background
which inspired me to be the person I am today. My child
development era shaped me to be a kind , open and loving person.

My family’s inspiration was in a point that I believe more in god.

That affected me in a way that if I meet someone who is against my
beliefs I immediately loose interest in associating with that
particular person. In other words i think that affected me badly
because I am able to socialize with minimal people whereas I love
socializing more with others. So when I meet people who brags a lot
about money I therefore become disinterested in those kind of
people.

My community inspired me in a way that they encouraged us to be

helpful and respectful to elders. They taught us to assist elders
when meeting them. So I think when I meet a person who does not
respect or who is not helpful I immediately refrain myself from
associating myself with that particular person.

As for race groups the community I lived in is a community that’s

against racism. I lived in a community which protects the members
of the community to an extent that they would even suggest
penalties that would discourage such action in the community. So I
think even now I see a person who is still racist in this point of time I
see that person not matching with my lifestyle with how I was raised
and taught. I particularly see that person as a person who does not
suit to be in the same environment as mine. Even today I still believe
that as South Africans or any other human beings we should go
against racism as it has no point of conquering.

THE BRANCHES AND LEAVES.

The first aspect of my life that I am mostly proud of is Family. The
main reason why I am proud of this particular aspect it is because
they raised me very well. They taught me every life values that are
most significant to a young growing child to be a better person one
day. As I am a well raised person who respect and who is also
responsible. The aspect of my life that I regret Is actually friends
because the friends I had in primary were bad influence in my
lifestyle. I can say that high school leadership shaped my choices
as I am now willing to pursue my leadership skills in advance and
also wish to lead within the environment I will working at. Things in
my family that contributed to my success is respect and life
guidance. Poor service in my community made it difficult for me to
achieve the mile I wanted for my business to grow. According to
socio economic status. It shaped my life outcome in the way that
my guardian managed to make my life easier and me reaching the
tertiary level . In my family I would like to change the current
lifestyle. In my community I would like to facilitate the development
in it.

THE BLOSSOMS.
So far my biggest achievement was being the RCL president in high
school. This is important to me as it taught me leadership skills as
they are very important. I see myself as a supply chain manager and
to achieve that the steps I will take is to study hard. In the society
that is basically drug free as I don’t associate my life with drugs.
There are no questions as I feel like all questions that I needed to be
asked I was asked.

THE CYCLE OF SOCIALIZATION by Bobbie Harro

First Socialization ( Arrow NO.1)

“Immediately up on our births we begin to be socialized by people

we love and trust the most, our families or the adults who are raising
us. They shape our self-concepts and self-perception , the norms
and rules we follow, the roles we are to play, our expectations for the
future and our dreams”
