Holidays and food go hand in hand, don't
they?
Holidays are a perfect time to try out new recipes or
indulge in traditional favourites, whether it's the
colourful sweets of Diwali, the hearty meals of
Christmas or making special sweets for Eid.
Each culture comes with its own set of delicious

recipes and culinary traditions. Food plays a
central role in celebrating special occasions.
Memories of food and festivals often evoke a
sense of warmth and nostalgia. These sensory
experiences create lasting memories that bring
families and communities together.
We all have a favourite food memory from a

festival or holiday.
So, this year lets relive such memories by
making a Holiday Recipe Book.
Creating a holiday recipe book can be a fun and rewarding project! Here's a
step-by-step guide to help you get started:
 Choose a Theme: Decide on the

theme of your recipe book. Will
it focus on traditional holiday
recipes, healthy holiday recipes
or something else?
 Select Recipes: Gather a variety
of holiday recipes from family,
friends, cookbooks or trusted
online sources. Ensure that all
ingredients and instructions are
clear and easy to follow.
 Pictures: Take photos or make
drawing of each dish to
accompany the recipe.
 Share and Enjoy: Once your
recipe book is ready, share it with
family and friends as a
thoughtful holiday gift. You can
also sell or distribute it to a wider audience if desired.
Remember to have fun with the process and add your own personal touch to
make the recipe book truly special!

For making the holiday recipe book you have to choose ONE theme
from the three given below:

Recipes
 Healthy Holiday Recipes
 Forgotten Recipes
Things to keep in mind
1. The recipe book should have at least 3 recipes out of which one recipe
should be from either Tripura or Mizoram.
2. Templates are provided above to help you make the recipe and other
related facts but you are free to make your own artistic templates.
3. Each recipe will have a nutritional checklist and an
expenditure checklist with it (template is provided
above)
4. There should be a cover page and table of contents in the book. The cover
page of the recipe book can be designed by the student using his/her
imagination.
5. Write a brief introduction for the book in the form of
a paragraph in 50-60 words, providing personal stories related to the
holiday or specific recipes.
Remember each recipe book should have a cover page, a

table of contents, 3 recipes with nutritional and
expenditure checklist and an invite for book
release in Hindi.
