    Kung-Fu Panda

    Kung-Fu Panda is a movie series based on the movie of the


    same name. It is a martial arts comedy film produced by DreamWorks
    Studios and distributed by Paramount Pictures at that time. The film,
    set in ancient China tells the story of a panda named Po a kung-fu
    enthusiast living in the Valley of Peace. This time we’re talking about
    the first movie.
    Characters
    Po is an energetic giant panda who works a noodle shop with his
    father Mr. Ping. He loves to eat a lot of dumplings and noodles and is
    also known as a kung-fu enthusiast. He once had a dream when he
    was fighting many criminals with the Furious Five. His dream is
    finally fulfilled and is now known as ‘The Dragon Warrior’.
    The Furious Five is a well-known team in the Kung-Fu Panda
    franchise and is known by their martial arts style. These characters
    consisted of:
    Master Tigress is the leader of the Furious Five and is known to
    be very strict. On the first day when Tigress and Po met, she was mad
    towards him because she was not given the title as ‘The Dragon
    Warrior’ and shamed Po as he had no skill in kung fu.
    Master Mantis is a member of the Furious Five and seems to
    have a broken humour. When Po made his dad’s secret ingredient
    soup, he tried to impersonate Master Shifu and he laughed so hard
    that Shifu appeared behind of Po.
    Master Viper is also one of the most respected members of the
    Furious Five and is shown to be good-natured. Unlike Tigress she
    goes easy on Po and teaches Mantis on how to do the Acupuncture
    treatment on Po. However, when Mantis seemed to make Po pass out,
    Viper is pretty chill.
    Master Crane is one of the best characters of the Furious Five
    and is shown to be very sarcastic towards Po. When Master Crane is
    asked to do the split – which takes dedication and practice – he laughs
    at Po and “congratulates” him.
    Last but not the least, Master Monkey is one of the best notable
    characters of the Furious Five. He is very laid-back and easy-going
    towards Po. He was the one who mostly impressed Po on his kung-fu
    skills but sometimes is to easy-going on missions.
    Master Shifu is the last member of the former Furious Five in
    which he became a strict mentor towards Po. He tried to kick Po out
    of the Jade Palace and soon changed his mind when Master Oogway
    told him to ‘believe’. He then found out that the way to teach Po
    kung-fu is with food. He is the adoptive father of Tai Lung who
    became evil.
    Master Oogway was a Galapagos Tortoise, the senior of the Jade
    Palace before Master Shifu and the creator of Kung-Fu. He is well
    known for being wise towards the characters. In the first movie he
    chose Po as his successor but eventually he dies and ascends to the
    spirit realm. Master Oogway ever said:
    “You are too concerned with what was and what will be. There
    is a saying: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a
    gift. That is why it is called the present.” ~ Kung Fu Panda (2008)
    “Your mind is like this water, my friend. When it is agitated, it
    becomes difficult to see. But if you allow it to settle, the answer
    becomes clear.” ~ Kung Fu Panda (2008)
    Tai Lung was the main antagonist of the first movie. Back when
    he was a cub, he was adopted by Master Shifu. He showed great
    interest in Kung Fu and Master Shifu eventually thought him, but
    when he wants the Dragon Scroll, Oogway rejected and noticed
    darkness in his heart, he was eventually stopped by Oogway and was
    sent to the most heavily guarded prisons ever made. He was then
    banished to the spirit-realm and made a cameo in Kung Fu Panda 4
    (2024).
