I. Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, 75% of the students should be able to:

a. determine the different social issues;


b. draw inferences about the author’s thoughts and feelings on a topic
using text evidence; and
c. show the cause and effect of social issues.

II. Subject Matter


Lesson: Relate text content to particular social issues, concerns or
dispositions in real-life.
Skills to be developed: Reading, Writing and Listening
Values to be learned: Cooperation, Engagement, Integrity

problems in a functional society. The
norms, values, customs, traditions,
mores, and laws of social change as

means that society is disturbed by
external or internal forces of social
change. A changing society inevitably
develops problems; either the
conditions themselves change and
become unacceptable. When you are
in these situations, you might want to
seek for help to a person you trust to
share your problems

IV. Evaluation
You are going to write your own speech. It must be 200 words, and you are going
to write your answer in your activity sheet. Your speech must be within the
context of the given question;
“If you were the President of the Philippines which social issue will you prioritize,
why? And how will you resolve it?
