Undertaking / Declaration from the Students

1. The statements made and personal, academic and medical informationfurnished during my
admission are true, correct and complete. If any information furnished therein is false, I declare that I
shall be liable to forfeit my admission in the Excel Engineering College, and the Institutewill be
entitled to terminate my studies and withhold the hall ticket for examinations or results/degree as
the case may be, apart from launching criminal prosecution.

2. I undertake to pay the required fees (Institute, Transport, Hostel& Mess and any other fees as
applicable) as stipulated by the Institute / Hostel on time. I am also aware that any delay in payment
with respect to the above fee cannot be quoted as the reason and action taken as per norms has to
be obeyed without any grievance. I accept to pay all the fees as per the Institute schedule failing
which I would be put on out of rolls and restrained from registering for the courses, staying in the
hostel, attending the classes & writing the examinations. I am aware that failure to secure the
required attendance will lead to repeat of the semesters. I know it is a choice on my side to decide to
attend reconduction classes to learn the missed portion during my absence and secure attendance
required to appear for exam.

3. I accept to pay all the fees for ODD semester before 7 th June and Even semester before 7th
December of every academic year irrespective of exam/academic schedule. Failing which I am aware
that appropriate will be taken by the institute level.

4. I undertake to study diligently developing sound character with discipline, integrity and spiritual
values.

5. I accept the obligation to reside in the Institute hostel and obey the rules and regulations of the
Institute and the hostel, and preserve the property of the Institute and the hostel and discharge my
duties as a student with fidelity and honor.

6. I shall practice good health habits and regularly participate in wholesome physical activities. I am
aware that smoking or consumption or distributing tobacco/alcohol in any form on the campus is
punishable and I will be liable to be suspended / Debarred/Expelled from the Institute / lodge a
complaint for penal action.

7. I am aware that possessing, consuming or distributing harmful or illegal narcotic drugs and
psychotropic substancesis a criminal offense as per Indian narcotics act which will lead to dismissal
from the institution.

8. I shall not disturb the peace, destroy, damage or deface Institute property, organize or involve
instudent Birthday celebrations / parties /festivals or injure any person or physically manhandle
under the guise of intimidation, initiation and extortion in any form for any purpose, failing which I
shall be liable for the punishment as per the institute disciplinary procedures of the Institution and as
per the law.
9. I shall maintain socially accepted standards of morality; I shall not participate in any political
activityor invite any outsiders to the campus for any such activities. I shall not participate or convene
any unauthorized meeting of students inside or outside the campus.I will not organize any meeting
or collect money without the knowledge of the concerned authorities.

10. I shall be present in all class hours including seminar, tutorial, library and practical classes and
apply to the concerned authority for prior permission for leave of absence in case of ill-health or
emergencies or any important family events. For any leave more than three days is considered as
long leave and I will submit medical certificate (upto seven day) or medical discharge summary
report for more than seven days. Failing which any attendance lag happens, it is my own
responsibility and obey the norms meant for university exam.

11. I will not organize, encourage or involve myself in any sort of Regional, Communal indiscipline
activities during my stay in the Institute and Hostel.

12. If I am found creating any disturbance in the public as an individual or as a group and subjected
to legal procedure by the police authorities, I am aware that the Institute will not interfere in the
legal procedures and institute has all rights to expel immediately.

13. I am aware that, in case my progress in studies is consistently poor, even after steps taken by
Excel Engineering College to improve my performance, I will be liable to be debarred from the
Institute.

14. I shall strive to excel in my academics and try my best to have 100% physical attendance. I am
aware that if my attendance falls below 80%. I am not eligible to appear for the university exam and
will have to repeat the semester.

15. I shall be clean at all time and follow the dress code by wearing formal pants with shirts tucked
in/Salwar Kameez or Churidhar. I shall also follow the restrictions with regard to attire and foot-wear
as would be required by the Institute for working in the laboratories, workshops etc.

16. I am aware that using any vehicle - motorcycle / scooters or cars for transport is not permitted. I
am fully aware that any violation would result in suspension from the Institute.

17. I realize that violation of the code will result in warning and suspension. Repeated violations
would lead to expulsion as disciplinary measures are being enforced solely for the welfare of the
student community.

18. I am aware that, Ragging is a Crime, punishable as per law and I assure that will not indulge in
any form of Ragging or any act of indiscipline. I am aware that, In India, the law against ragging is
governed by the Prevention of Ragging Act, 1997 and its amendments. The act defines ragging as
"any disorderly conduct whether by words spoken or written or by an act which has the effect of
teasing, treating or handling with rudeness a fresher or any other student".

19. I am aware that any breach of discipline, violation of rules or bad conduct on campus or Hostel,
play fields and during camps for extracurricular activities will entail cancellation of admission.
20. I am aware in the event, I inflict injury or wound on self or drink harmful substances which will
endanger my life, I am solely responsible for the incident and will not claim any help or
compensation from the institute for recovery and also, I am liable to be expelled from the Institute.

21. My parents and I agree to receive information regarding my studies through SMS or
email/whatsapp at any time from Excel Engineering College. Due to change of number, not attending
or not reachable, any communication not received, Institute is not responsible

22. I am aware that the usage of cell phone inside the academic campus is not permitted and I will
bea responsible user. I will be solely responsible for the safety of my properties like cell phones,
laptops and other electronic gadgets etc.

23. I will abide by the rules and regulations, which may be adopted from time to time by the Institute
and the Hostel. I will accept the evaluation and decision of the Institute as final in all aspects.

24. I am fully aware that the Warden, Chief Warden, Mentor, Faculty or any authorities of Excel
Engineering College are empowered to check and verify the contents including photos/videos in my
Laptop/Mobile phones any time on misuse of electronic gadgets which are against the norms of the
Institution.

I have read carefully the Code of Conduct / Content given above of the Excel Engineering College
rules and regulations mentioned above, I understand that my signature below is my acceptance of
the Code of Conduct. I am aware that violation of the Code will make me liable Disciplinary/ legal
proceedings.

I shall adhere to the rules and regulations of the Institute and discharge my responsibility as a
student with diligence, fidelity and honor.
