    Duties and Responsibilities

    • To comply with safety laws, norms and standards


    • Attending weekly HSE meeting as a main contractor HSE representative for discussion of
    HSE site issues with client.

    • Provide guidelines and controlling of field safety officers of sub-contractors with respect to
    safety issues at site
    • Monitor & train work crews to follow procedures for the open and confined spaces,
    respiratory protective and non-respiratory protective equipment.
    • Monitor work permits shall be obtained prior to any work commencing and work shall be
    carried out in accordance with specific measures itemized on the permit.
    • Maintain to gas cylinders stored on proper place and make sure right number of fire
    extinguishers available and it checking regularly to ensure that will work if required.
    • To advise the work force on different hazards and its control measures such as proper use
    of PPEs and use of fire extinguisher and make them aware about different kinds of hazards
    such as electrical hazards, mechanical hazards, hazards related to construction and heavy
    equipment such as crawler, crane, concrete mixing plant etc.
    • Make certain that operators and attendant are qualified and trained for the particular
    equipment’s. Check that periodic tests, Inspections and maintains are carried out when due.
    • Maintain communication link between department and management as well as enforcement
    of government & client safety regulation and procedures.
    • Prepare job hazard analysis and educate supervisors in preparing pre-task planning procedures
    before conducting any work activities. To identify hazards with construction supervisor at site
    before start new task for preparation of Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
    • To prepare the checklist & get it passed by HSE Manager to submit internal audit to HSE
    management.
