     Responsibilities as Safety Officer

    o Stop unsafe act and unsafe conditions and introduce remedial measures
    with immediate effect.
    o Give tool box talk.
    o Ensure workers are physically and mentally trained to do the job.
    o Ensure site security, first aid and welfare facilities are provided and
    managed properly.
    o Ensure good housekeeping maintained.
    o Ensure all environmental requirements are fully met.
    o Conduct training and awareness programmed to all NEW CONDIDATE &
    forces for the operation of extinguishers, actions to be taken in case of
    emergencies, use of Personal protective equipment’s and first aid at site.
    o Investigate and keep a record of accidents at site and take necessary
    actions to prevent the reoccurrence of accidents.
    o Report to top management about improvements and safety
    maintenance of the company.
    o Promotion of health and safety culture through the organization.
    o Ensure proper PPE ‘s are supplied, properly maintained and used.
    o Oversee and review toolbox talk taken by the supervisors.
    o Ensure all plants and equipment’s are fit for the purpose, adequately
    maintained and possess valid test certificates.
    o Prepare reports for submission to clients and senior management
    o Ensure that the clients’ and their consultants’ requirements and
    recommendations are followed.
