® = registered trade mark of
BASF SE
Product description Ultramid C40 L is a lubricated copolyamide 6/66 grade of high viscosity for
the production of monofilaments and blown film. Ultramid C40 L is well suit-
ed for the production of high transparency, nonsymetric blown film with re-
duced curl. Its very low melting point compared to standard PA 6 is advan-
tageous for coextrusion with temperature sensitive polymers like EVOH.
Supply form and storage Ultramid C40 L is supplied pre-dried and ready for processing in a variety of
moisture proof containers, such as bags, boxes, bigbags (Asia) and bulk
containers. The material must be protected against moisture during storage.
A storage time in packed form of 6 months should not be exceeded. Opened
bags should be used up immediately in order to prevent moisture pickup.
While unloading bulk containers and storing Ultramid C40 L in silos, han-
dling instructions defined in a specific information sheet have been taken in
consideration.
