Where?
Tokyo, Hokkaido, Kyoto, Japan.

● For the first three months of Tokyo, I would not be paying. I have family in tokyo, I would be staying with them.
For Hokkaido, I’d be staying here for 2 months: https://www.booking.com/hotel/jp/southhouses1.en-gb.html?

WORKING FULL-TIME & LIVING ON YOUR OWN
Expenses:
Fuel N/A
Write a one page reflection on whether your job will support your lifestyle.
Some sacrifices I would have to make are definitely the amount of hours and says I would have free in
order to spend time with friends, family or do things on my own. Since id be working more than full time
and spending multiple hours on end designing and having to communicate with people about what they like
about my designs, what could be improved and over all having a lot of responsibilities to do I wouldn’t
have a lot of time to see my friends. That doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t be able to see them in general as I
would still make sure to have a few days or planned vacations where I would be able to spend time with
them, but it would not be as frequent as it would be in High School. Another sacrifice I would have to make
is having to sit at my desk for prolonged periods of time where I would do nothing but be stuck in a room
for 12+ hours a day and not go outside that much if not for anything I need to buy like groceries or
essentials. My priorities would be changing as in my main priority would be to be on task every day to be
able to get my clients their designs, logos or anything they need from me at the due date that is set. In
Graphic design, there is little to no wiggle room when it comes to deadlines and meeting them is crucial and
essential if you don’t want to lose the client and have a bad reputation. And instead of prioritizing my
hobbies, I would have to push most of them aside since most of them [art, ceramics, baking, skating, etc]
are very time consuming and I wouldn’t have time to prioritize them apart from my work. If I say in the
same budget for years and don’t step out I would be saving 796.37 each year, which is not too bad but it
could definitely be better. In five years that’s about 3,981.35. With that money, I think I would like to go
somewhere for vacation. Not outside of Canada, but I would like to go out of BC and visit another
province. A province in mind would be Ontario where I’d go to Toronto for a few weeks and stay there to
learn about the city as I love the city life and surrounding myself in it. I think it gives me enough money to
be able to be comfortable while im my vacation and explore without feeling like my budget is too tight or
like I wont have enough to spend to be happy with my entire vacation. In ten years [if I don’t end up going
on my vacation and continue to save up the money] I would have 7962.7 dollars in savings. With that, I
think I would want to find a very small home that would have enough room for one person [myself] and a
room for an office. Nothing too big since I wouldn’t be planning on living with anyone at the moment. I
would put it as a downpayment for the house that I see fit and would use that to begin to actually own a
house instead of relying on apartments and not actually owning a house for my own. Having my own house
and not having to worry about landlords or anything in my apartment building would take a lot off my
mind since I have high anxiety and wouldn’t really enjoy living in an apartment for the rest of my life. I
would like the house to be located somewhere in Burnaby, not too far from Metrotown since its one of my
favourite places to go since I really like that area and share many good memories with that place. Either
way, I see this working out for me in the future because its enough money to keep me genuinely happy since
I’m not someone who likes a big , rich life style and prefer to have something small, but comfortable to
make me happy.
