Airplane Maintenance Program AMP: A220-300

AIRBUS A220

A220-300 Line Maintenance Weekly Check

Check to be accomplished every 8 DY or 100FH (whichever is earlier) /Down Time: 6 Hours

Caution (1):
Any finding should be evaluated and if within limits should be recorded in (AFML), but for finding out of
AMP limits should be rectified or deferred in (DDL) if allowed in MEL.
Caution (2):
AFML signature must be done after completing the necessary maintenance tasks.
Caution (3):
For any A/C or Engine structure damage (Dents, scratches, gauge, buckling or delamination):
1) If damage marked no action is required.
2) If damage unmarked:
a. Refer to dent & buckle chart (O/B) if damage was recorded before, no more action.
b. is required.
c. If finding not recorded, perform damage assessment according to (ASRP).
d. and do the necessary action.
i. If found within limit record it as Deferred Defect and reflect it in the buckle chart.
ii. If found out of limits, issue (NRC) card to structure group for rectification.

2-1 Visually check the emergency equipment as per “Emergency Equipment


Layout” attached in cabin logbook for serviceability, correct fixation, placard,
easy to release. including:
A. Portable fire extinguisher stowed & handles sealed secured.
B. Portable oxygen bottle stowed, mask clean & oxygen pressure check.
Replace if pressure is lower than 1800 psi AS PER Table 6 Gauge
indication. (AMP BD500-A-J35-11-00-01AAA-340B-A)
C. Protective breathing equipment and smoke goggles.
D. Escape Rope.
2-2 Check cockpit seats/seat belts lock for condition and electric operation. (AMP
BD500-A-J25-11-01-03AAA-310E-A)
2-3 Review the OMS (Onboard Maint. System) Maint. MSG, (AFML) Pilot Report
& cabin logbook for the last 8 days. Rectify any snag as necessary
A. No go items
B. Flight Data Recorder (FDR), Terrain Awareness and Warning System
(TAWS) and TCAS or deferred if MEL allowed according to restriction
required, Except for the following critical items when A/C at base:
a. Single Engine Bleed.
b. Single Electric generator (VFG).
c. One pack INOP.
2-4 In case of overnight stop or long stay (> 8 hours), install L/G downclocks
safety devices and enter installation in AFML (in the left-hand side with
individual number).

3 CABIN
3-1 Visually check the following for presence, serviceability, correct fixation,
placards & easy to release in accordance with approved emergency LOPA:
A. First aid kits (fixation & palaces only).
B. Portable oxygen bottles for correct pressure.
C. Protective breathing equip (including tamper seal).
D. Emergency demo packs.
E. Extension seat belts.

3-2 Emergency Equipment:


Check passenger life vests spare life vest for presence, security and
serviceability.

3-3 Visual check of portable fire extinguishers- Make sure that the nozzles are not
clogged and the safety seals are in good condition.

3-4 Check all attendant seats for:


- Auto Retraction.
- Condition and security.
- Harness and belt for serviceability.
3-5 Check galleys and lavatories for condition, security of installation or missed
panels, missed or loose fasteners, trash bin flap operation, storage
compartment restraint, sink blockage, lavatory proper operation and
emergency signs.
Also check galley floor drain holes for any blockage.
3-6 Check PAX. Service emergency exit doors for structure or decoration damage
from inside.

3-7 Visual inspection for pax seat track fixation. (Condition & security)

3-8 Carry out drain to water from boilers for all galleys.

3-9 Check cabin attendant /Cockpit flash light vest for presence, security and
serviceability.

3-10 General cleanliness cabin.

4 LANDING GEAR
4-1 Check nose and main landing gear tires & wheels.

4-2 Brake Assembly / BRAKE WEAR PIN


Check brakes for general conditions. Check wear indicator pin for condition.

4-3 Check NLG & MLG doors for structure integrity (pay particular attention to
door bonding jumper and L/G door seals).

5 ENGINE & APU
5-1 Perform AMP BD500-A-J72-21-00-00AAA-310A-A to Inspect fan blades for
dents, twist, damage or cracks, and any finding should be recorded and
reflected in fan blade configuration map, or recorded in (AFML).

5-2 Perform AMP BD500-A-J78-30-00-00AAA-540A-A to do Visual inspection of


cowls, T/R Doors, acoustic panels. Pylon, exhaust and common nozzle
assembly for missed or damaged screws, rivets, fasteners panels and fairing
(in case of missing fasteners refer to AMP).

5-3 Check engine oil service door.


5-4 Check APU area for general condition.

5-5 Check APU oil level and service if needed.

5-6 Record the following APU data:

6 CARGO DOOR & COMPARTMENT


6-1 Check cargo compartment:
a- latches for serviceability.
b- cargo nets for availability and serviceability
c- bonding jumper condition and rectify if necessary.

6-2 Check all cargo compartment panels for condition, damage and security of
installation (floor finishing, sidewall panels, ceiling panels, decompression
panels and fire protection liners).

7 ELECTRIC
Perform Daily check Electric items

7-1 Cargo entrance service light and cargo compartment light check for proper
functioning, cover condition and burnt-out bulbs.
7-2 Check all emergency exit lights (interior / exterior) signs for full
illumination, cover condition and security of installation.
7-3 Perform operational test of window heating system & probe
heating system
7-4 Check the cargo smoke detectors and their screen for damage and
cleanness.
7-5 Perform Brake system normal mode BIT (Brake RTS) as per
AMP BD500-A-J32-43-00-01AAA-343A-A

8 AVIONICS

Perform Daily check Avionics items

8-1 Visual inspection of external probes, antennas, angle of attack sensors &
static ports for conditions, security of installation, cleanness and obstruction.
8-2 Check the static dischargers (wings, stabilizer and vertical fins) for existence.

8-3 Perform TAWS operational Test AMP BD500-A-J34-42-01-01AAA 320A-A.

8-4 Perform public address Test AMP BD500-A-J44-11-09-01AAA 320A-A.

8-5 Check communication in all STATION of cabin & lavatories emergency call
signs.
8-6 Check the serviceability, correct fixation, placard & easy to release in
accordance with approved emergency LOPA of Portable ELT.

8-7 Check reading / call / F/S / N/S LIGHT in cabin for operation.

8-8 Flight Deck Check:


- Inspect all the flight deck instruments, control panels and electronic displays
for degradation, crackling, embrittlement, …etc.
-Ensure that all flight deck control panels switches and knobs can move
properly and are not stuck due to corrosion or crusting.
-Check the flight deck control panels’ displays and electronic displays for good
visibility and readability.

9 FINAL ITEM
9-1 De-energize the aircraft electrical network

9-2 Check CMEL for existence.

9-3 Certify accomplishment of check in technical log.

9-4 Certify accomplishment of check in AFML

9-5 PLEASE CARRY OUT THE DOWNLOAD OF VFDR REPORTS FROM HMU
IN ACCORDANCE WITH AMP TASK: BD500-A-J46-11-01-01AAA-752A-A
THE DOWNLOAD OF HMU REPORTS (WHICH INCLUDE VFDR REPORTS)
MUST BE DONE THROUGH AFD (ADAPTIVE FLIGHTDISPLAY) METHOD
BY USING USB STICK CONNECTED TO IMS TO STORE THE
DOWNLOADED REPORTS. MAKE SURE TO CHOOSE “SELECT ALL “TO
ENSURE ALL FLIGHT LEGS WILL BE DOWNLOADED. DUE TO THERE IS
NO INDICATION TO HIGHLIGHT THE COMPLETION OF DOWNLOADING
PROCESS (IMS LED GREEN INDICATOR DOES NOT FLICKER DURING
DOWNLOAD PROGRESS) AND IN ORDER TO AVOID MISSING SOME
LEGS PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FOLLOW ONE OF THE FOLLOWING
OPTIONS:
1) KEEP THE USB STICK PLUGGED IN IMS FOR A PERIOD NOT LESS
THAN 60 (SIXTY) MINUTES BEFORE YOU REMOVE IT. OR
2) USE AN USB STICK WITH BUILT-IN LED INDICATOR (INTEGRAL
LIGHT). THIS BUILT-IN INDICATOR SHOULD BE FLASHING AS LONG AS
THE DOWNLOAD PROCESS IS IN PROGRESS SO YOU CAN REMOVE
THE USB FROM IMS WHEN THE USB BUILTIN INDICATOR STOPS
FLICKERING (FLASHING) WHICH MEANS THE DATA TRANSFER HAS
BEEN COMPLETED.
