Morphine capsule
A breakthrough in pain relief, the development of morphine in capsule form will herald the
end of persistent chronic pain for sufferers throughout the world. Most people endure some sort of
pain during their life and for most of us it is a temporary inconvenience which can be treated to full
recovery. There are, however many millions of people throughout the world for whom pain is
permanent and at best they can only expect transient relief.
Persistent pain many impair one’s sleep and appetite creating fatigue and preventing recovery.
It can also destroy the quality of a person’s life and in the more chronic situations, may well erode
the sufferer’s will to live.
Morphine is the drug of choice for several pains, yet physicians are reluctant to prescribe it
and patients and their families are reluctant to use the drug strictly managed, it can bring welcome
relief and no threat of addiction.
The demand for a more efficient method of administering morphine for more effective pain
relief has been really strong in recent years and none method has been to apply special polymer
technology. The aim was to be able to provide sustained pain relief which would give steady blood
levels of the drug and administration only required twice daily.
