In 1948, Piaggio, started its journey in the delivery sector
with the Ape, a three-wheel product derived from Vespa.

The first model was designed for one person, without a

cabin and the front shape was Vespa.

Until 1956 Ape was a Vespa with three wheels & two engine
options (125cc and 150cc).

In 1970 Piaggio launched the Ciao Porter (or TRI CIAO),
a three-wheel product derived from Ciao.

The front of the vehicle was redesigned with two wheels,

and the rear was part of Ciao.
