How to find a job?
Tip one: The first thing you need to understand is that employers see your CV as a way to make their lives easier,
not yours. Whatever your experience and whatever the work, the golden rules for getting to the interview stage
are always the same: keep it brief and keep is simple.
Tip two: Two pages for curriculum vitae are, in most cases but not always, enough. 1. ___ Type your CV because
you get more words on the page and it can be read more easily.
Tip three: Begin with the basic information such as your name, date of birth, address, telephone number.
2. ___ Remember – nobody except your parents cares which kindergarten you went to twenty years ago.
Tip four: Deal with your work experience next. 3. ___ Bear in mind that you must be prepared to change your CV
for each job application. This is because the first job you mention must be relevant to the one you are seeking,
and you need to show the similarities between them. In addition to listing what was involved in each job, you
need to explain how you personally made a difference in the job. If you were responsible for something, say so.
Tip five: Always include a short list of your interests to show in a few lines that you have a life and a personality.
Lastly, you need the names of at least two people who can provide reliable references. 4. ___ Never rely only on
spellcheckers – they are helpful, but they are not able to correct every error.

A. Start with the present and work backwards.

B. Remember that the purpose of the document is to catch, and hold, your reader’s attention.
C. List all the extracurricular activities you have ever attended to.
D. If you want to include school qualifications, be brief.
E. Always remember to get someone else to read your CV to check for mistakes.
