ACTIVITY PROPOSAL
I. Title: 2023 CIS Mathematics Celebration
Theme: “Mathematics is Everywhere.”

II. Rationale:
In reference to DepEd Memorandum No. 28, series 2020, in the
observance of the international day of Mathematics with the theme,
“Mathematics is Everywhere.”, and in one with the Department of Education
(DepEd) in highlighting the essential role of Mathematics and its application in
all aspects of human activity, Calubian Integrated School (Secondary) conducts
the 2023 School-based Mathematics Celebration.
III. Objectives
This activity aims to:
Strengthen the application of Mathematics in the delivery of
instruction;
Improve understanding on the importance of Mathematics in
education; and
Apply mathematics in the real world.

VII. Methodology:
o The Mathematics Coordinator shall submit an Activity Proposal to
the School Head one week before the target date.

o Upon approval, the Mathematics Coordinator shall present the

finalized plan of activities to the mathematics teachers and to all
persons involved.

o List and details of activities shall be posted in every classroom for

the information of everyone.

o Teachers-in-charge/Teacher-facilitators shall be responsible for the

mechanics, scoring, tabulation, and other materials related to the
activity in which he/she is assigned to.

o Student-participants are not allowed to use cellphones,

calculators, and any gadgets during the contest/game.

o The Mathematics Coordinator shall submit an Activity Completion

Report through the District Math Coordinator after the celebration.
