Mantra:

GANESH CHATURTHI FESTIVAL
Ganesh Chaturthi is the Birthday of Ganesh ji, hence it is also called as Ganesh Jayanti.

This festival starts every year on Chaturthi tithi of Shukla Paksha of Bhadrapada month which lasts for
10 days. People install the Idols of Ganesh ji in their homes and offer prayers according to their rituals/
customs.

According to the Panchang, this time Ganesh Chaturthi is on 19 Sept 2023, morning 11.01 hrs. to 13.26
hrs. Lord Ganesha is offered Modaks and Laddoos on Ganesh Chaturthi day.

If you always keep Idol of Lord Ganesha in your office, then there is also the grace of mother Lakshmi in
your house as well, as the broken luck also awaken, but there are certain rules for placing the Idol of
Lord Ganesha.
 Ganesh ji remedies always gives great results for enhancing Mercury (Budh) planet effects. Make
Ganesh ji as your best friend and create connectivity. Keep Ganeshji photo on their
laptop/mobile/wallpapers/ study table during these 10 days.

 By the grace of Lord Ganesha, all the wishes of Devotees are fulfilled. Ganesh Idols are emersed on
the holy day of Anant Chaturdashi. On the other hand, GC fasting day will be on 19th September,
2023, it is combination of planet Sun and Mars and day is also Mars. Sthapna time is 12.39pm on 18th
Sept. to 8.43pm on 19th Sept. 2023. Madhyan Puja will begin on 11am – 1.28pm. Idol Vitsarjan is on
28th Sept. 2023.

 Whenever you offer Laddoos to Lord Ganesha in the samajik temples, never bring the same back
home, rather distribute outside.

 If ladies are, during this time, in their mensural cycle, they can even chant mantras and get their
wishes fulfilled by the grace of lord Ganesha.
 Disruptor Lord Ganesha has got the first place of Worship God, i.e. before every auspicious work, In
puja, only Lord Ganesha is worshipped first. For the blessings of Lord Ganesha to remain on us, we
have to take special care of him.

 According to Vastu, some rules have been given to keep the Idol of Lord Ganesha. If you keep the Idol
in the right place and in the right direction, then there will be happiness and prosperity in the house
AND removal of obstacles and struggles/challenges of life. It is the best to place the Idol of Lord
Ganesha in the North East direction of the house. NEVER EVER keep the Idol of Lord Ganesha in the
South direction of the house and there should not be any garbage /toilet in the house in which the
Idol of Lord Ganesha is placed.
Always keep below in mind while bringing the Idols at home :

1. IDOL MUST BE IN SITTING POSITION of Lord Ganesha

2. SMALL SIZE, BELOW 12 inches

3. IDOL MUST HAVE HIS TRUNK ON THE RIGHT SIDE

4. IDOL MUST HAVE A MOUSE AND LADDOO

5. IDOL MUST BE MADEUP OF COW DUNG/ CLAY, which can be diluted in the water tubs at home itself,
without polluting the holy rivers. This water may be used in the plants, except TULSI plant.
6. OFFER DURVA – Make 11 pairs of Durva by tying mouli, take the grass from a clean place, face durva
on your side while placing, chant below 11 mantras of Ganpati ji :-

3. OM UMA PUTRAYE NAMAH
4. OM VIGHNAHANSAYE NAMAH
5. OM VINAYAKAYA NAMAH

PROCESS TO BRING GANESHA IDOL AND INSTAL AT HOME :
 You need to wrap up the Idol in yellow cloth, recite bhajan/ mantra and bring home with flower rain.
Tie mango tree leaves toran on the entrance door. Burn camphor and sprinkle rose water mixed
with holy water in the house.
 At the muhurat time, un wrap the idol, place on a wooden plank/chowki. Put holy water on the feet
of ganeshji three times, do his shringaar with clothes, Janeu and ornaments and offer durva near his
ears and head. Lite a diya. Offer supari, laung, ilaichi, durva gud, jeera, fruits, paan, sabut dhaniya,
modak. Yellow Chandan teeka on Idol and all devotees. Offer garland of 21 durva and yellow
flowers.
 Put Kalash on the right side and put 1 beetel nut, 2 cloves, 2 green ilachi, 1 coin and few rice grains.
Place mango tree leaves on it and place coconut (brown) on the kalash.
 Take some water, flower, rice grains and coin in your right hand and take Sankalp for how many days
you wish to keep the Idol at home.
 Do puja everyday and whole day play bhajan near the Idol. Offer bhog /food to Ganeshji 4 meals
daily.
GANESH VITSARJAN PROCESS
 On the day of vitsarjan, keep some palash flowers in the water to make it yellow.
 Take some water, rice grains and flower in your right hand and pray – हे प्रभु आप �जतने िदन हमारे घर रहे,
उसके �लए शुक्राना, आपक� सेवा म� कोई कमी रह गयी हो यह हमसे कोई गलती हो गयी हो तो माफ़ करे। अगले वषर् िफर से
ख़ुशी ख़ुशी हमारे घर आना। Today we are sending your back to your home, but you please remain with us
in our home temple and keep blessing us. Say your wish.
 Now lite diya, Do AARTI and offer bhog. shake the idol a little. Tie some nuts and mishri in a satin
cloth and tie on ganeshji’s hand. Keep a small bottle of water.
 Take a tub, make swastik with roli/ sindoor, fill water, palash flowers and marigold flowers. Insert
the Idol thrice with mantra – GANPATI BAPPA MORYA, MANGAL MURTI MORYA. Place water bottle
and nuts for him.
 Next day, keep one of the ornaments in your locker, water in plants (except Tulsi) and other item
near peepal tree.
 Pickup the Kalash and coconut, sprinkle kalash water in house and eat narial as prasad. Other items
of kalash, keep with ganeshji ornament in locker.
