Fashion and clothes

A Sophie
My mum says I’ve loved clothes ever since I was small. I had a great pair of red shoes when I was
little, and I never wanted to wear any others! So maybe that’s where it started. And I’ve always
refused to wear anything that I think is old-fashioned!
Now, of course, I wear a uniform when I go to school. It’s not as bad as some people’s – a dark
sweatshirt, and black trousers, or skirts for girls if they want.
Outside school though, I wear really colourful things, and I’m good at finding great clothes that don’t
cost much – so all my friends want to come shopping with me!
B Anna
My friends are always amazed at the clothes I wear. I make things myself, or I make changes to the
clothes I’ve got so that they look different – I haven’t got much money to spend! Anyway, the good
thing is that I know I’ll never see someone who’s wearing exactly what I am!
I’ve had a lot of help from my mum, too – she enjoys helping me find nice clothes on the internet,
and then she orders them for me. I’m the only one at home that’s so interested in clothes, though.
I’ve got two sisters, and they buy clothes, but then get bored with them and give them to me!
C Rob
I’ve got a huge collection of T-shirts. Every time I go somewhere, I buy a new one, especially if it’s got
the name of the place on it.
Some have amazing designs on them. I don’t wear them very often as I’ll never be able to replace
them! My favourites have a big tiger and bird on. I got them on a city break to New York last year.
We went ice skating there, too, so I’ve got a photo of myself skating – on a T-shirt! And I’ve got some
T-shirts I’ve decorated myself, with coloured pens and things. My friends love them, so I often have to
make one for them, too!
