    Job Description We require someone, ideally a couple, to join our team of 6 milking 1120 cows through a 60 bail
    rotary. Your job will include but not limited to milking, stock management, plant cleaning, records
    keeping, farm infrastructure maintenance i.e. fencing & thistles and maintaining / shifting irrigation.

    The successful applicant will be joining an established dairy farming business near Hororata.
    To be considered for this role you must demonstrate a consistent work record. Whilst experience
    within the dairy farming sector in New Zealand, is preferable, having the right attitude and being
    motivated to learn with the desire to make dairy farming a career is essential.
    The team strives to provide excellent farm management and stock care to achieve the financial and
    production targets for the season. Candidates must be able to take direction/guidance, be confident
    working both independently and be a strong team player.

    In addition the applicant will be part of a team rearing approx 500 calves through to weaning-
    previous experience and knowledge is preferable.

    To apply the applicant must have a valid full Drivers Licence. A curriculum vitae and covering letter,
    including details of 3 referees are required.

    Accommodation The successful applicant/s will be required to live on farm in shared accommodation with one other
    employee. this is set up well so although shared you will have your own space. Tidy living and work
    habits are essential to fit with both farm team standards and housing standards. No pets are allowed
    due to shared accommodation and no smoking is permitted within the property.

    Hourly & Remuneration

    Avg Hrs / Wk 50

    Rostered Time off Single rotation


    12 days on / 2 days off

    farm. You will learn here and be expected to do so
