J2534 SAE J2534 (also known as Pass-Thru) is a communications standard adopted by

vehicle manufacturers. With J2534, independent repair shops can work on modern
cars and have cost-effective access to information and OE programming downloads
from vehicle manufacturers when required.
CAN A Controller Area Network (CAN bus) is a robust vehicle bus standard designed to
allow microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other's applications
CAN FD Controller Area Network Flexible Data-rate, developed by Bosch, allows data
transfer rates up to 2-5 Mbps compared to CAN at 500Kbps
DoIP DoIP stands for Diagnostics over Internet Protocol. As the name suggests, this
software standard enables remote diagnostics of the vehicle over an internet
protocol. DoIP standard leverages Ethernet as the physical layer for the
communication
D-PDU The D-PDU API is a programming interface, standardized in ISO 22900-2, for
accessing a Vehicle Communication Interface (VCI).

Automatic Vehicle Recognition

Intelligent diagnostics allow vehicles to be identified without first selecting a manufacturer. Thanks to our
specially developed VIN decoding process, our diagnostic app recognizes the vehicle manufacturer or model
completely automatically. It is no longer necessary to enter the information manually.
Recording and Playback of Parameters

Our integrated recording function helps with intermittent faults that only occur under certain driving conditions.
REC All of a control unit's selected parameters can be saved for a longer period with a single click. The integrated
playback function allows the information to be used for immediate evaluation.
Freeze Frame
Check the parameters and elapsed time since a stored fault occurred. Most manufacturers currently store
information, such as temperature, rpm, speed and time, in a control unit's event memory.
Maintenance Menu for Relevant Service Functions

Included with the Eurotab III, the new Smartlink® C
communication interface represents a huge advance in
diagnostic capability.
The Smartlink®C VCI attaches to the vehicle OBD port,

connecting with the handset using fast Wi-Fi. In this mode
it communicates using advanced protocols including DOIP,
D-PDU, RP-1210 and CAN-FD.
The Smartlink® C can be used as a J2534-compliant Pass-thru

device, for reprogramming ECUs with software downloaded
from OEM websites. The VCI is also compatible with both

The Handset
The all-new Euro Tab III handset features a super-size 13.3-
inch, 1920x1080 IPS display and 8GB of on-board memory.
Based on the Android 9 operating system the Euro Tab III

has a newly-designed Launch APK for smooth and powerful
operation. Supported by 256GB of storage and wireless
connection to the VCI, the Euro Tab III can perform any high-
speed task asked of it.
Connections include USB type C, USB Type A, and HDMI.

The cameras are hi-resolution 8 mega pixel front and 13 mega
pixel rear, both can be used to take pictures of defects which
can be emailed direct to customers. The handset is waterproof
and dustproof to IP65, the high-capacity battery uses the latest
quick-charge technology.
The tablet is protected by a high impact silicone rubber

housing with corner reinforcements, a carry handle, palm
brace and a dampened multi position rear stand.
The Software
Developed over the last thirty years and used all over the
world, Launch diagnostic software is acknowledged as world
class.
Using the latest Launch APK and diagnostic software, the Euro
Tab III promises a ‘best in class’ experience.
Over 100 car brands are supported with full systems diagnosis,
many OE level functions, and bi-directional control.
A user-friendly interface presents simple links to 33 service

and reset functions, Launch guided diagnosis, one- click
software updates, Dynamic ADAS guide, and much more.
Fault codes are displayed in a clear diagnostic report, which

can be shared, printed, or saved as a PDF file. Live data
can be displayed with actual and standard values, up-to 12
