Because Christ also died once for our sins, the just
for the unjust: that he might offer us to God, being
put to death indeed in the flesh, but enlivened in
the spirit.

PROFESSION OF FAITH
Nicene Creed
Com: I BELIEVE IN ONE GOD, THE FATHER
ALMIGHTY, MAKER OF HEAVEN AND
EARTH, OF ALL THINGS VISIBLE AND
INVISIBLE. I BELIEVE IN ONE LORD JESUS
CHRIST, THE ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF
GOD, BORN OF THE FATHER BEFORE ALL
AGES. GOD FROM GOD, LIGHT FROM
LIGHT, TRUE GOD FROM TRUE GOD,
BEGOTTEN, NOT MADE, CONSUBSTANTIAL
WITH THE FATHER; THROUGH HIM ALL
THINGS WERE MADE. FOR US MEN AND
FOR OUR SALVATION HE CAME DOWN
FROM HEAVEN, AND BY THE HOLY SPIRIT
WAS INCARNATE OF THE VIRGIN MARY,
AND BECAME MAN. FOR OUR SAKE HE WAS
CRUCIFIED UNDER PONTIUS PILATE, HE
SUFFERED DEATH AND WAS BURIED AND
ROSE AGAIN ON THE THIRD DAY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SCRIPTURES. HE
ASCENDED INTO HEAVEN, AND IS SEATED
AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER. HE
WILL COME AGAIN IN GLORY TO JUDGE
THE LIVING AND THE DEAD AND HIS
KINGDOM WILL HAVE NO END. I BELIEVE
IN THE HOLY SPIRIT, THE LORD, THE
GIVER OF LIFE, WHO PROCEEDS FROM THE
FATHER AND THE SON, WHO WITH THE
FATHER AND THE SON IS ADORED AND
GLORIFIED, WHO HAS SPOKEN THROUGH
THE PROPHETS. I BELIEVE IN ONE, HOLY,
CATHOLIC, AND APOSTOLIC CHURCH. I
CONFESS ONE BAPTISM FOR THE
FORGIVENESS OF SINS, AND I LOOK
FORWARD TO THE RESURRECTION OF THE
DEAD AND THE LIFE OF THE WORLD TO
COME. AMEN.
APOSTLES CREED
Com: I believe in God, the Father Almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus
Christ, his only Son our Lord; Who was
conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the
Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried; He
descended into hell; on the third day he
rose again from the dead; he ascended into
heaven and is seated at the right hand of
God the Father Almighty; from there he will
come to judge the living and the dead. I
believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic
Church, the communion of saints, the
forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the
body and life everlasting. Amen.
PRAYERS OF THE FAITHFUL
OFFERTORY HYMN
OFFERTORY
P: Blessed are you, Lord, God of all creation.
For through your goodness, we have received
the bread of we offer you:
Fruit of the earth and work of human hands,
It will become for us the bread of life.
Com: AMEN.
EUCHARISTIC PRAYER
P: The Lord be with you.
Com: AND WITH YOUR SPIRIT.
P: It is truly right and just, our duty and our salvation,
always and everywhere to give you thanks, Father most
holy, through your beloved Son, Jesus Christ, your Word
through whom you made all things, whom you sent as our
Savior and Redeemer, incarnate by the Holy Spirit and
born of the Virgin.
In the formulas that follow, the words of the Lord should be pronounced clearly
and distinctly, as the nature of these words requires.
At the time he was betrayed
and entered willingly into his Passion,
He takes the bread and, holding it slightly raised above the altar, continues:
he took bread and, giving you thanks, broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying:
He bows slightly.
TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,
FOR THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.
He shows consecrated host to the people, places it again on the paten, and
genuflects in adoration.
He bows slightly.
He shows the chalice to the people, places it on the corporal, and genuflects in
adoration.
Then he says:
(TO BE SUNG)
(A) WE PROCLAIM YOUR DEATH, O LORD, AND
PROFESS YOUR RESURRECTION UNTIL YOU COME
AGAIN.
(B) WHEN WE EAT THIS BREAD AND DRINK
THIS CUP, WE PROCLAIM YOUR DEATH, O LORD,
UNTIL YOU COME AGAIN.
(C) SAVE US, SAVIOR OF THE WORLD, FOR BY
YOUR CROSS AND RESURRECTION YOU HAVE SET
US FREE.
Then the Priest, with hands extended, says:
Therefore, as we celebrate the memorial of his Death and
Resurrection, we offer you, Lord, the Bread of life and the
Chalice of salvation, giving thanks that you have held us
worthy to be in your presence and minister to you.
COMMUNION RITE
After the chalice and paten have been set down, the Priest, with hands joined, says:
P: At the savior’s command
and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
SIGN OF PEACE
Com: AMEN.
Then he takes the host, breaks it over the paten, and places a small piece in the
chalice, saying quietly:
(TO BE SUNG)
Com: LAMB OF GOD YOU TAKE AWAY THE SINS
OF THE WORLD: HAVE MERCY ON US. LAMB
OF GOD YOU TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE
WORLD: HAVE MERCY ON US. LAMB OF
GOD YOU TAKE AWAY THE SINS OF THE
WORLD: GRANT US PEACE.
Let us all kneel.
Com: AMEN.
CONCLUDING RITE
P: May almighty God bless you, the Father, the Son +
and the Holy Spirit.
A: AMEN.
