    Dear Admissions Committee,

    I am writing to apply for a Master's Degree Program in Sustainable Urban Development starting
    in Autumn 2023. The university's interdisciplinary approach to providing future solutions in
    various urban development activities and place-making interests me incredibly. I have fascinated
    by how the physical and social environment is constantly changing. My academic and
    professional experiences in landscape architecture nurtured my passion for using education and
    research to create a sustainable society. This program is an ideal platform for the utilization of
    my expertise and for gaining additional research skills which are necessary to bring forth a more
    sustainable environment for my hometown at large.

    I graduated Landscape Architect at the HCMC University of Architecture in 2018. After


    completing my undergraduate program, I have been working as a Landscape Architect for four
    years, with domestic and foreign experiences. My degree project, which focused on designing
    and preserving a historic site in the context of social and urban trends, underlined the
    effectiveness of urban development for historic locations and citizen-centred research in
    constructing memorable and appealing public spaces. Making public space is one technique for
    building a contemporary urban environment. This master's program at VGU plays a significant
    role in developing my academic knowledge.

    During my professional work, I frequently designed and consulted different landscaped places,
    such as parks, residential areas, apartments, and other landscaped spaces, which enhanced my
    ability to organize and manage my projects. I could adjust to different environments, collaborate
    with various teams, and adhere to varying working timelines and standards. My greatest
    takeaway was the importance of open-mindedness in learning and acquiring new skills from
    different scientific contexts.

    Regarding to Sustainable Urban Development Master Degree, I am primarily interested in green


    building design and place-making, impact and pollution reduction, environmental impact
    analysis and remediation, and ecological management in urban development. I have always tried
    to fully experience what each city has to offer, both physically, socially, culturally and
    economically. Sustainable development plays a big role in making significant contributions to
    society, unleashing the potential for extraordinary ideas and creating a better-built environment.
    Knowledge of construction technologies and infrastructure is necessary to provide effective
    management solutions. Understanding urbanization and effecting of climate change helps me
    know how cities are dealing with these current and future challenges.

    My ultimate future goal is to be a leadership designer in the urban landscape and sustainable
    development field, applying innovation to reduce the impact on the environment. I am more
    excited by the process of making discoveries from research, sharing knowledge through
    publications, providing scientific solutions, learning from other professionals, etc.

    The opportunity to study at Vietnamese-German University will give me helpful knowledge that
    I could do something for my hometown in future. I will become a much better person through the
    exposure and knowledge I acquire. My educational background will enable me to contribute
    significantly to society.
    I look forward to contributing to this initiative and gaining much environmental and scientific
    knowledge through this program.

    Moreover, I can say that I would like to continue my studies to gain knowledge and experiences
    through academic research, and I believe a Master's Degree Program in Sustainable Urban
    Development would offer me the possibility of receiving a complete picture of all aspects of this
    field.

    I hope that The Admissions Committee will allow me to enrol in the Sustainable Urban
    Development Master's program to gain new skills and knowledge in the future. I am looking
    forward to hearing a positive response. I appreciate your consideration.
