Motivational Letter
First of all, let me introduce myself as Abdul Hannan, son of Rahan Uddin and Achiya Khaton. I was
born on December 1st, 1993. Recently I have been working at a well known Export oriented company as a
Civil Engineer. I have attended my B.Sc degree in Civil Engineering from Stamford University
Bangladesh.
I achieved my Secondary School Certificated (SSC) from Barera High School. Then I attended a 4 years
Diploma program at Chandpur Polytechnic Institute on Construction Technology. Afterwards, I achieved
my B. Sc degree in Civil Engineering from Stamford University Bangladesh. My academic background is
completely based around Civil Engineering and I have already been working in the same field. During
this whole period I learned a lot but it is not sufficient enough to fulfill my dreams. So, I decided to
pursue higher education on a international level and apply to universities abroad. That is, I took my
IELTS test on 18th January, 2020 and got an overall 6.0 score.

Bangladesh has introduced me to a wide variety of engineering subjects. Various courses like Surveying-
land and surveying, Material science and engineering, Construction engineering, Structural Analysis &
Design, Design of Hydraulic Structures, Environmental engineering, Geotechnical engineering,
Transportation engineering, Irrigation & Flood Control, Reinforced Concrete provided me with a strong
footing in the theoretical concept of Civil Engineering.
While offering both depth and breadth across this field, these courses put into perspective the importance
and relevance of Civil Engineering and the application of its fundamentals to the problems faced by the
real world. So, I can realize that learning and developing my knowledge of Civil Engineering. I hope to
have a great contribution to the society since there are so many opportunities in Bangladesh, as it has
started developing in the field.
I am much eager to adopt and learn new technologies. I am really enthusiastic to attend a Master of
Science in Civil Engineering in order to understand different Civil Engineering Concepts because every
state needs the concept of modern Civil Engineering. The good reputation of high-quality education
standards, an extremely distinguished faculty members, and research facilities are the factors which have
motivated me to choose for my M.Sc. studies in your university.
Germany has the largest budget to educate people. So far, Germany has had 80 Nobel Laureates, which is
extraordinary. Germany is the home of many top ranked universities in the world. It is also affordable for
an international student. It enjoys all four seasons throughout the year. In terms of health-care, Germany
is one of the best, and health insurance is also very affordable for students. I will be able to learn the
German language, which is one of top spoken languages in the world, by interacting with locals since
they are welcoming. Also, I will have the opportunity to socialize with new people by attending their
traditional festivals. Furthermore, Germany is safe and peaceful for international students. Considering all
of these factors, Germany is the best choice for me as an international student. Obtaining a degree from a
German public university would be inimitable in Bangladesh, and it would give me a chance to contribute
to my country for its development. Having a degree from a German University would be highly
appreciated worldwide if I want to work to gather more experience.
Moreover, I feel I am responsible for making a big move in this field and this will give me a big chance to
be one day someone who is remembered for his innovations. I think it is our duty as people sharing life in
this world to make our future better because the future is not only ours. Our grandchildren should be
proud of us one day when they look back and find how hard we worked to make the world a better place.
