CONTRACT OF EMPLOYMENT

PREAMBLE AN AGREEMENT made this _____ day of _________,


2019 between OMOTOYE ADESOLA ADEDEJI
ENTERPRISE SHOP 258 EDA PLAZA JABI, ABUJA
(hereinafter called “the Employer”) on the first part and
NAME OF THE EMPLOYEE (hereinafter called “the
Employee”) on the second part.
WHERE IT IS MUTUALLY AGREED AS FOLLOWS:
CONTRACT OF 1. The Company shall employ the above named in the
EMPLOYMENT capacity of Bar Lady, reporting to the Manager.

DURATION OF 2. The contract shall be for a probation period of 3 months


CONTRACT from ______________________________ and may be
confirmed upon a satisfactory conduct after the
expiration of 3 months.

DAYS /HOURS OF 3. Monday through Saturday. The working hours depend on


WORK the business demands of the employer. Provided that it
shall not exceed 10 hours a day.

DEVOTION OF 4. During the continuance of the Agreement the employee


WHOLE TIME shall:
TO BUSINESS (a) Devote his/her whole time and attention to
duties, shall do all in his/her power to promote,
develop and extend the business of the
employer.
(b) Not divulge to any person whatsoever any
information concerning the business or finance
of the employer or any of its

dealings, transactions, or affairs, which may


come to the employee in the course of the
employment, otherwise the contract, will be
terminated without notice to the employee.
NOTICE PERIOD 5. Subject to paragraph 4b above, this contract may be
terminated by either party upon giving the other one
month notice or one month salary in lieu of notice.

REMUNERATION 6. The employee shall be entitled to N………….. only as
/ monthly salaries, provided that the employer shall
EMOLUMENT deduct the salaries for unauthorized day(s) of absences
from duty by the employee and pay a prorated amount.

SUMMARY 7. The employee shall be summarily dismissed, if at anytime


DISMISAL during the service with the Company the employee
shall:

(a) Be indicted for Criminal Breach of Trust, Cheating,


Theft and or conspiracy to commit any of the above
offence.
(b) Commit any act of grave misconduct or gross
negligence to duty or gross insubordination to a
superior staff of the company.
HOLIDAYS 8. At a period to be determined by the employer, the
employee shall be entitled to 7 (seven) working days
holiday annually, (with leave allowance 20% of annual
salary).

REST DAY 9. In every period of seven days an employee is entitled tone


day off rest or more as may be determined by the
employer which must not be less than 24 consecutive
hours.

SICK LEAVE 10. Where a worker is at work for six hours or more a day,
his/her work shall be interrupted (to the extent which is
necessary having regards to its character and duration
and to working conditions in general) by allowing one or
suitably spaced rest-intervals of not less than one hour
on the aggregate.
(a) Where it is found unavoidable in view of the nature
of the work and working conditions in general,
time-off for a meal at the worksite or in the
immediate vicinity may be substituted for the rest-
interval.

SECOND SHIFT 11. A second shift is or may be required to meet company’s

present or future needs. Employee is hired on the
understanding that he or she is able and willing to work
night shifts.

GUARANTORS 12. The employee shall produce two guarantors one of which
shall be resident in Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

This agreement is sent to you in duplicate, kindly sign the agreement and the
duplicate copy if you accept the terms and conditions of your contract of
employment.

This agreement shall governed by the Nigerian Labour Law.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF the Common Seal of the Employer was hereunto


affixed before its Directors and the Employee has duly signed this Agreement the
day and year first above written.
