SDE Tech DE Tech DGM
Member Member Chairman
A) Particulars of the official

Name Mr. Prabaljit Das

Designation JE
Place of posting CNTx,NER(M), Tezu
Perner No. 60320097

B) Job Profile
i) Day to day maintenance related work in co-ordination with ARP BA
(Eastern Arunachal Pradesh).
ii) System monitoring and planning for improvement of services in the area.
iii) Integration of new equipment like CPAN (B1/B2), 7 Ghz Hybrid
Microwave System with existing system.
C) Achievements

1. ROING-CHAPAKHOWA NEC 7GHz HYBRID MICROWAVE SYSTEM:-

On 30/03/2023, Installation and Commissioning of ROING-CHAPAKHOWA
7Ghz NEC Hybrid Microwave System was done successfully. All BTS’s, BB &
Ethernet leased circuits are loaded into it and are operational now. The above
Microwave system is also integrated with transmission equipments like MADM
and CPAN so that whenever there is OFC breakdown between Roing and
Chapakhowa, almost all the circuits are working smoothly without any
interruption thereby improving the quality of service in the district headquarter
(ROING). Saved ROING(LOWER DIBANG VALLEY) DHQ from complete isolation.

2. ROUTES OF TEZU SUB-DIVISION:-

As TEZU is the District Headquarter of Lohit, it is very important for us to
provide seamless service. In order to achieve it five routes are integrated from
Tinsukia to Tezu. They are:-

a) Tinsukia-Makum-Doomdooma-Chapakhowa-Sunpura-Tezu CPAN (10G)

Note:- (Chapakhowa-Tezu section has 7GHz MW System integrated for protection)

b) {Tinsukia-Borhapjan-Doomdooma-Chapakhowa(MADM-16)}-Sunpura-
Tezu(ADM-1)
Note:- (Tinsukia-Doomdooma section has protection in Assam CPAN as well)

c) {Tinsukia-Borhapjan-Doomdooma-Chapakhowa(MADM-16)--
2

>>>{(Chapakhowa-Tezu 7Ghz Microwave System)}

SDE Tech DE Tech DGM
Member Member Chairman
Note:- (Tinsukia-Doomdooma section has protection in Assam CPAN as well)

d) {Tinsukia-Borhapjan-Doomdooma-Chapakhowa(MADM-16)--
>>>{(Chapakhowa-Sunpura Minilink)—(Sunpura-Tezu ADM-1)}
Note:- (Tinsukia-Doomdooma section has protection in Assam CPAN as well)

e) Tinsukia-Doomdooma-Kakopathar-Mahadevpur-Namsai-
Chongkham(MADM-16)-->>>{Chongkham-Tezu Minilink}
Note:- (Tinsukia-Doomdooma section has protection in Assam CPAN as well,
Mahadevpur-Chongkham has protection via NFS fiber)

3. CPAN INTEGRATION:-
Fiber build-up in 10G ports of Tinsukia-Makum-Doomdooma-Chapakhowa-
Sunpura-Tezu done successfully, thereby connecting Tezu Sub-Division with
optical fiber (10G Bandwidth) for the first time as opposed to earlier when Tezu-
Division had bandwidth issue as it was running via Mini-link (150 Mbps).
Creation of new services and Loading of traffic like Tezu Sub-Division Mobile
Services, FTTH 1G service, NIC Tezu 100MBPS has also been done. CPAN has also
been integrated with 7 Ghz NEC Microwave System in Tezu-Chapakhowa and
Roing-Chapakhowa section by doing 1G build-up between CPAN and Microwave
& creating a 1G digital link as protection so as to offer uninterrupted services
during OFC breakdown/power failure in the above mentioned routes.

4. 4GB MEMORY CARD CONFIGURATION FOR NEW TEJAS MADM TJ-1400:-

Login issue/failure of New TEJAS MADM-16 is a big issue. Control Cards of this
MADM have 2GB microSD Memory Card pre-installed. As we are aware that 2GB
microSD memory cards are unavailable in today’s market so we had tried to
configure using a 4GB microSD memory card and it worked successfully. Several
MADM’s which we were unable to login or where memory card gets corrupted
like Er-1055 Tinsukia, Doomdooma New, Chongkham, Tezu Microwave were
restored successfully. During this process, an alternative of scarce 2GB micro SD
memory card i.e 4GB micro SD memory card which is available in market was
also found for future use. On verbal instruction from our Sr.
GM/CN-TX/NER/Ghy one no. retrieved 2 GB micro SD memory card was also
configured and sent to Bomdilla for restoration of Old MADM at Sela.

5. NAMSAI SUB-DIVISION STABILITY:-

3

Although OFC reliability is high between Tinsukia and Namsai but still services
Page

were affected due to frequent power failure at Kakopathar and Mahadevpur

[Sanjay Mittal] [R.K.Nath] [A.K.Haloi]

SDE Tech DE Tech DGM
Member Member Chairman
Exchange from time to time. To get rid of this issue, new STM-16 build ups were
done between Doomdooma & Mahadevpur and another one between
Kakopathar and Namsai which resulted in superior UP time as no traffic were
hampered whenever there is power failure in either of the station.

6. KHONSA SUB-DIVISION NEW ROUTE:-

After the failure of 2/34Mbps 7Ghz PDH MICROWAVE SYSTEM between Tinsukia
and Khonsa, there was no alternate path for Khonsa left as Joypur-Deomali and
Margherita-Deomali OFC route were completely destroyed and official posted at
Khonsa had to face public pressure on daily basis. So after discussing with
concerned officers, it was decided to use Joypur-Deomali NFS fiber. In co-
ordination with JE/KHONSA and Tinsukia TX team, all the services were
immediately shifted to CPAN between Tinsukia and Joypur and an STM-1 build-
up was done between Joypur and Deomali using NFS fiber to divert all the
services of Deomali and Khonsa. Till date all the services are working in this
route and up time have increased astronomically compared to earlier.

7. CHAPAKHOWA-SUNPURA OFC ROUTE:-

On 29/10/2022, After commissioning of Chapakhowa-8mile-Sunpura OFC
route, CPAN and ADM-1 fibers were made through between Chapakhowa and
Sunpura section thereby solving the bandwidth issue of Tezu Sub-Division.

8. CHANGLANG-MIAO-INNAO-DIYUN-KHARSANG-JAIRAMPUR CO-ORDINATION
WITH ARP BA:-
Although the above routes are under SDOT NAMSAI & SDOT CHANGLANG yet
whenever they need any technical support from our end, we help them
immediately. For instance, Jagun-Jairampur OFC route failure occurs very
frequently, so we have arranged an alternate route using Tinsukia-Makum-
Digboi-Margherita-Ketetong-Pengri(CPAN-Dibrugarh BA)------Pengri-Jairampur
Minilink so that almost all services work after diversion without any
interruption.

9. KENDUGURI-KAMALABARI NEC 7GHZ HYBRID MICROWAVE SYSTEM:-

On request of DE(TP), Jorhat and as approved by DGM(M)/CN-TX/NER/GHY, Mr.
Prabaljit Das, JE/TEZU along with JTO(Project)/Tinsukia stayed in Jorhat and
visited Microwave Station Kenduguri and Microwave station Kamalabari
configured IDU at both the stations ,did STM-1 build-up, E1 wiring , and co-
ordinated with the vendor on daily basis when Microwave installation started in

In addition the creation of LEKHABALI & PASIGHAT 1G FTTH services are also
done from our side.
v). All the leased circuit like SBI, HDFC, NIC etc. circuit up-gradation has already
done.

12. Services are always extended during odd hours also on request from ARP/BA
whenever required. Due to this reason no complaints were received from ARP/
BA heads to our BA heads since round the clock we are extending best efforts to
maintain our BSNL services to our Jurisdiction.
