C. DETAILS OF INVERTIGATION REPORT

1. Objective(s) [CLO1/C4:1]

- The main objective of this project are record the consumer's purchase price before
reaching the counter.
- Users can know the total price of the goods in the basket by simply referring to the LCD
which is written on the total price of the goods.
- Users can put the item back and press the cancel button if the price of the item exceeds
the amount of BRIM money earned.

2. Scope of project [CLO1/C4:1]

- Project scope is a way to set boundaries on the Barcode Shopcart project and define exactly
the goals, deadlines and deliverables of the project I will be working on. By clarifying the
scope of the project, I can ensure you achieve your project goals and objectives without
procrastination or overwork.

In this Project, I will create a Shopcart Barcode, it uses Arduino uno and others. Then, the
main focus and this project is for users who want to know the price of goods before
reaching the payment counter.

3. Problem statement [CLO1/C4:2]

- Product acquisition represents a complex process consisting of time spent in corridors,
product locations and checkout lines.
- Make it easy for users to know the price of goods and be able to know the total amount
of goods they want to buy
- Many scanners have a default minimum data amount that it can scan. Review the scanner
manual to ensure the scanner is set to the minimum amount of data to read.
IDAutomation recommends setting the scanner to read a minimum of one character
barcode.

4. Literature Review [CLO1/C4:3]

- A discussion of each challenge or limitation generates meaningful insights into barcode

analysis in terms of existing achievements, current progress and improvement
opportunities.
- This project is to make it easier for users to identify the price of goods that users want to
buy
- These wire jumpers they are very popular to connect various modules and devices to the
Raspberry Pi GPIO, or to connect components to Arduino boards, to connect reset and
power buttons to PC motherboards, for projects on breadboards as an alternative to
welding for assembly
- Arduino Uno works to create programs to control various electronic components. And
this function of Arduino Uno is made to facilitate users in prototyping, programming
microcontrollers, making advanced tools based on microcontrollers.
- The working system of the barcode scanner is to take, scan symbols and convert the
barcode to electrical data and send it to the computer in a simple data format.

8. Propose Block Diagarm [CLO2/C5:5]

9. Recommendation/Suggestion/Expectation [CLO2/C5:6]
This project is sourced from Arduino uno and many other materials are used. Then it can work by
tracking the price on the bar code on the merchandise. It can also be extended by using all dominant
RFID readers with upgraded limits if there is a gradual increase in the number of items in the cart. It's
an improvement project of Sensor Activation Using Arduino. Finally, this project will run smoothly
because it uses materials that meet the requirements.

10. Conclusion [CLO2/C5:6]

In conclusion, I created the Barcode Shopcart project to make it easier for users to identify the price of the
item they want to buy and for users to know the total price of the item purchased. Subsequently, real-time and
automatic barcode recognition has attracted attention from academics and practitioners. To deal with this
complex modern task, it improves some of the disadvantages of conventional and state-of-the-art methods,
such as speed, data volume and accuracy. Finally, it can be marketed before reaching the shopping complex
because customers can buy the SHOPCART BARCODE first so they know the price of the item they want to buy.
That's all from me , Thank you.
