1. GENERAL

1.1 INTRODUCTION
The present document has to be considered as integrant part of the company standard
20000.VAR.PAI.FUN Rev. 3 - “Protective coatings, galvanizing and metalizing for internal and
external surfaces of offshore and onshore structures and related components”.

1.2 SCOPE
This specification defines the products pre-qualified or qualified by the company for the specific use.
For what concern the coating storage & preservation, coating selection, coating qualification, surface
preparation, coating application and inspection, the reference document is 20000.VAR.PAI.FUN Rev.
3.
The qualified products are listed separately and organized for paint system (as per the paint system
data sheet included in doc. 20000.VAR.PAI.FUN Rev. 3) and coating manufacturer.
In addition, the present document includes the laboratories approved by the company for coating
testing, with the reference to the international standard.
The products and laboratories which are not included in the present document are not approved by
Company, however the coating manufacture may apply for pre-qualification or qualification according
to the company standard 20000.VAR.PAI.FUN Rev. 3.
To be highlighted that the applicability of the paint systems listed here following has to be intended
valid as it is for the operative conditions (e.g.: type of fluid, operating temperature, etc.) specified into
the Company Standard 20000.VAR.PAI.FUN R03.
Whether the Operative condition should be different from the specified ones, the applicability of the
paint system shall be verified with the Coating Manufacturer for the new operative condition.

Therefore cannot be specified for areas where Hydrocarbon Jet Fire is required.
