    Semi-Detailed Lesson Plan in Mathematics in Grade 1

    I. Objectives
    At the end of the lesson, the students are expected to:
    a. Identify the addends and the sum of addition;
    b. Show cooperation through group activity; and
    c. Add the following objects and numbers.

    II. Subject Matter


    Topic: Addition
    Materials: Multimedia presentation, basket, flash cards.
    Skills: Adding numbers

    III. Procedure
    A. Preparation:
    The teacher presents a “mathematical song” to the pupils.
    “Little Fingers”

    B. Presentation:
    The teacher presents a tree which have fallen petals on the ground.

    C. Discussion

    Let the students count the number of petals fallen on the right side and
    on the right side and on the left side of the tree. They will identify what are the
    addends and what is the sum based on the presentation given.
    2 + 2 = 4

    D. Application
    The teacher groups the pupils into 5 groups. The teacher will present
    an activity “Fill the basket”.

    IV. Evaluation
    Add the following numbers:
    1. 2+3=5
    2. 1+2=3
    3. 5+4=9
    4. 2+4=6
    5. 3+4=7

    V. Assignment
    Draw any objects that shows addition.
