Direct Admission Through Lateral Entry To 2nd Year (III Semester), Full Time B.Tech
Note: Students studying in JIIT-(Both Campus), JUIT-Waknaghat, JUET-Guna and

JU-Anoopshahr are not eligible to apply
Seats are available in B.Tech second year (3rd Semester) of UG Programs in CSE, ECE, IT & BT
programs.
1. ELIGIBILITY
(a) The candidates should have passed first year in B. Tech from a recognized university or three
year diploma after Class 10th / 12th with minimum aggregate of 60% marks in Science and Maths
(Maths not essential in case of Biotechnology), in a single sitting, in the qualifying exam for
diploma course, from a State Board of Technical Education & Training.
(b) To seek admission in a particular stream, the candidate should be pursuing the eligible
programme in their current B.Tech / Diploma as given in the table below:

(c) Age : Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 2000 (Date of Birth as
recorded in the High School / Secondary Education Board / University Certificate) are eligible to
apply for admission.
(d) The eligibility criteria in the streams mentioned above, is sacrosanct and no requests for
accepting applications having done Diploma or First year B.Tech in branches other than
mentioned above shall be accepted.
(e) The candidates should have no backlog course in first semester (In case of B.Tech) or upto fifth
semester (in case of Diploma) and be appearing or appeared in the Examinations for B.Tech
second Semester or Final Semester Examination for Diploma with no backlog courses.
(f) Candidates to ensure that the results of the qualifying courses/examinations are made available by
30 September 2022.
2. SELECTION PROCESS
The admission will be purely based on merit:
(a) While making the merit, weightage will be given to Class 12th, B.Tech first Semester Marks/
Grades and Entrance Test for BTech students and Class 10th /12th, Diploma Marks/ Grades upto
fifth Semester.

(b) Selected candidates will be offered provisional admission subject to production of certificates
with proof of qualification / eligibility conditions by 30 September 2022. Under no circumstances
the dates for production of such certificates shall be allowed to be extended beyond 30
September 2022. In case of non submission of the Certificates by 30 September 2022, the
admission shall stand cancelled.
(c) The selected candidates will be informed through email.
3. EQUIVALENT COURSES
Selected students shall have to take additional essential equivalent core courses of the branch in
which they are admitted in addition to regular studies of the 2nd year, in case there is some gap
between courses being offered in JIIT in B.Tech 1st year and courses taken by them in their
previous Institute. These courses shall be decided by the Equivalence Committee of JIIT.
4. APPLICATION FORMS
(a) Candidates can apply online at www.getadmissions.com.
(b) Application forms can be procured from and submitted to the Registrar, Jaypee Institute of
Information Technology A-10, Sector-62, Noida (U.P) in person on payment of Rs. 1200/- by
credit / debit card / UPI / DD / Cash.
(c) In case of payment by Demand Draft (DD), the DD for Rs. 1200/- to be payable in favor of
Jaypee Institute of Information Technology, at Noida/ Delhi.
(d) Application forms can also be downloaded from JIIT website. If sent by post, the form can be
forwarded along with the DD.
(e) The syllabus for admission test and the Application form are available on the website of the
Institute.
(f) Candidates are required to ensure that the Completed Offline Application and/or Demand Draft is
received before the last date.
5. FEE STRUCTURE +
The students being admitted in Academic Session 2022-23 will have the following fee structure in
remaining three years.

The fee and payment structure may be revised by the management from time to time.
6. HOSTEL ACCOMMODATION
Hostel seats are limited. The hostel charges for AY 2022-23 are Rs. 1,00,000/- per semester.
(Students desirous of a hostel seat will be considered for allotment as per availability of vacant
seats. Students to apply for hostel at the time of Admission)
7. IMPORTANT DATES
