Installation Procedure
1. Remove the upper and lower cases of the main unit. 4. Install a lead (2 pins) with a connector, which is supplied
2. Remove the 2 screws holding the main unit. Remove with the UT-20, on the UT-20 connector (CN1), and pass
the rear shield plate ( 1 ). the other lead and the lead with a terminal through a
3. Remove the 2 screws holding the lead with a terminal hole in the chassis ( 3 ).
( 2 ). Guide the lead with a terminal so that it runs through
between the dielectric filters (L30 and L33). When
mouting the 1200MHz unit to the chassis, make sure a
1 wire harness band that is securing the lead with a termi-
nal together, is located under the 1200MHz unit. In this
way, the wire harness band can act as a stopper ( 4 ).
5. Install the UT-20 on the main unit, and tighten 10
screws ( 5 ).
6. Tighten the UT-20 lead with a terminal and the lead with
a terminal from the final (430) unit (X45-360 B/2) with 2
screws ( 6 ).
7. Install the UT-20 lead with a connector (2 pins) and in-
stall the lead with a connector (2 pins) and the EXT AT
connector wire using a wire harness band ( 7 ).
8. Install one end of the UT-20 flat cable on the UT-20 con-
nector (CN6) ( 8 ).
9. Pass the ends of the supplied coaxial cable and the lead
with a connector (4 pins) through the hole in the chas-
sis, and install them on the UT-20 connectors (CN9 and
CN5) ( 9 ).
10. Install the coaxial cable and lead with a connector (4
pins) using a wire harness band ( 10 ).
11. Route the coaxial cable and lead with a connector (4
pins) on the side of the chassis in an L shape, then pull
them toward the bottom of the main unit ( 11 ).
12. Fix the coaxial cable and lead with a connector (4 pins)
near CN27 of the TX-RX1 (HF/IF) unit (X57-605 A/9) us-
ing a wire harness band ( 12 ).
13. Place the coaxial cable and lead with a connector (4
pins) on the side of the chassis, pass them behind the
connector (CN27) of the TX-RX1 (HF/IF) unit (X57-605 A/
2 9), and under the flat cable connected to the connector
(CN26) of the TX-RX1 (HF/IF) unit (X57-605 A/9). Then,
pass them between the electrolytic capacitor (C553)
and connector (W2) ( 13 ).
After routing as above, install the UT-20 flat cable on the
connector (CN27) of the TX-RX1 (HF/IF) unit (X57-605 A/
9). (When routing the cable and lead, the coaxial cable
and lead with a connector must not approach the fan.)
14. Install the coaxial cable and lead with a connector (4
pins) using a wire harness band ( 14 ).
15. Install the coaxial cable and lead with a connector (4
pins) on the connectors (CN22 and CN11) of the TX-RX1
(HF/IF) unit (X57-605 A/9) ( 15 ).
16. Install the UT-20 shield plate and tighten the 11 screws
( 16 ).
17. Install the fitting on the main unit and tighten the 2
screws ( 17 ).
18. Install the upper and lower cases of the main unit.

Note : After installing the UT-20 unit, perform the adjust-

ment described in the attached sheet.
