SYSTEM STUDY

ABOUT EXISTING SYSTEM

In the existing system, students daily go through a number of books, guides,

notes and various websites to find the correct and needed solution for a
particular problem. Moreover, most of the work involved has to be done
manually which is very time consuming and also, it reduces the efficiency,
accuracy, and speed of data retrieval. It is not that no effort has been made
towards this end. But most of the system failed to match the learner’s needs and
preferences. There are many schools that are located in rural areas that are
geographically and socially isolated. So they don’t have direct access to quality
education resources like big libraries, or authenticate books to learn about a
particular technology with all its basics. Moreover, those institutes or schools
which provide the facility of libraries don't have sufficient resources like books
or guides as compared to the demand of these resources.

Being myself a student I had faced the same problem while

searching for the particular topic for my assignments or better understanding of
concept. Most of the systems developed are based on subscription methodology
and provides content to only those who pay for it. I felt this shortcoming
becoming very obvious. A discussion with my project guide produced an
enthusiastic response and I decided to take the challenge. Now the ApniKaksha
community may help everyone to overcome the difficulty and get details about
online learning.

1
PROBLEMS IN EXISTING SYSTEM

The various problems in existing systems are as follows:

● Manually working systems reduce efficiency and accuracy.

● Failed to match learner’s needs and preferences.
● Time consuming and slow.
● Non availability of quality teaching.
● Lack of individual attention.
● Less cost efficient.
● Outdated education model.
● Lack of self-paced learning.
● Outdated syllabus.
● Wastage of resources.
● Passive learning.

INTRODUCTION OF NEW SYSTEM

E-Learning is an alternative to a traditional classroom learning experience and

is often referred to as “online learning” or “mobile learning”. E-learning can
also be termed as network enabled transfer of skills and knowledge, and the
delivery of education is made to a large number of recipients at the same or
different times. Recently E- learning systems are experiencing rapid
development. The advantage of learning through a global network is the
independence of time and space, learners can learn at their own pace, learning
materials can be organized in one place.

The E-learning website “ApniKaksha” has been developed to overcome the

problems existing in the practicing manual system. This software is supported to
eliminate and, in some cases reduce the hardship faced by existing system. The
application is reduced as much as possible to avoid errors while entering the
data. It also provides error messages while entering invalid data. No formal
knowledge is needed for the user to use this system. Thus, by this all it proves it
is user-friendly. The E-learning website “ApniKaksha”, as described above,
can lead to error free, secure, reliable and fast learning system.

The purpose of E-learning website is to automate the existing manual system

and providing quality content by the help of computerized equipment and full-
fledged computer software. The “ApniKaksha” community mainly focused on
providing a full course which includes video lectures, notes and previous year
question papers. Our system reduces the use of stationary material. It promotes
active and independent learning as you don’t need to depend on anyone. Our
system provides notes related to technical education. The studying material in
our system can be accessed an unlimited number of times. The content in our
system should be updated from time to time according to advancement in
modern technologies. Sometimes the cost of book material is high and

3
everybody can’t afford it. But our system provides study material to learners
free of cost. Users can also give review if there is need of any update in our
system. The students can access the same type of syllabus and study materials
through the new system as per in their preferences. The video lectures provided
in our system are in user understandable language. Our system of learning
increases the student’s ability to study on their own and their critical thinking
skills. Our system mainly focuses on technical course study material like java,
c/c++, etc and only provides notes and some video lectures related to the topic.
The study material in our system is authentic and genuine. The study material
24/7 available on our system. Our system provides satisfactory content to the
users.

Our system eliminates the barriers to enhance technological skills. Our system
has no geographical limits involved in accessibility. Users are able to link the
various resources in several varying formats. Our system is very convenient and
provides flexibility. Our system has the ability to gather, organize, share and
analyze an organization’s knowledge in terms of resources, documents and
people skills.

4
SCOPE
E-learning can also be termed as a network -enabled transfer of skills and
information, and the delivery of education is made to a large number of
receivers at the same time. Fast delivery of information is one of the key
benefits of E-learning. E-learning is one of the fastest ways of feedback today.
In E-learning the content is simple and includes text, graphics, some audio, and
some simple test questions.

Our system has the capability to make the global educational system more
effective.
Our system of e-learning is enabled to share knowledge in lower economies.
The system requires internet connectivity for accessing the few parts of the
content available.
Our system offers a user feedback system or comment box for users to give
feedback.
Our system provides a variety of programs and courses according to the user’s
needs.
Data standards on our system allow information to be exchanged from one
system to another.
Our system improves user- accessibility and time flexibility to engage learners
in the learning process.
The user can learn on their own basis as per their requirement through our
system.
Our system has the ability to overcome the problems faced in the manual
learning system.
Our system can ensure the user's privacy.
