1. Introduction
Please note: This guide is intended for our internal use only on
our test devices – Integrators must apply their own
recommendations for installations in an external and/or live
environment, for example it is not our recommendation that
firewalls are disabled in these case.

2. Initial Preparation
To connect the Lane 3000 SI terminal to the ECR Simulator, you will
need an available USB port on your PC/Laptop/Tablet or an
appropriate adaptor to connect.
On the device you are using for testing, Firstly, Unzip the file provided by
ingenico, and double click on the following files to open. Downloads-
>7aa88773667c933f727598f8859f095b->websocket-message-broker-
executable.jar
When the Websockets Message Broker v1.2.2 opens, you will see the connection
start.

Return to the opened Zip file and right click on Developmenttools.html, go
to Open with, and select your preferred internet browser.
Under Reference Business App, select ECR Reference Business
Application, and click on connect the button this should turn Green.
Plug the Cable into the back of the terminal, use the screws provided to secure the cable.

Now connect the USB Jack Input into your Laptop/Tablet/PC.

Right click on properties
Select the Sharing Tab (The lane should be plugged in at this point), tick
both boxes and press ok. (If the boxes are already ticked then untick press
ok then go back and re-tick them both).
This first tick-box may have a text box requesting the ‘Home Networking Connection’, if so then
select the “Ethernet X*” – The X* will be dependent on what the lane is called in Network
connections when it’s plugged in.Home Networking Connection
Once you have the Lane connected, if it is not already installed it will then go
through the following installation steps.

Installing the Lane 3000
From the key pad arrow down to Enable and Press Ok.

Press Ok for the terminal to reboot, the terminal will now display rebooting.
To confirm the Ethernet settings and to complete the installation Press Yes.
The terminal will display a default ECR IP Address; this should be “192.168.137. 1”
Press Ok.
Alternatively, you can use the IP v4 address from the device that your POS is on
– this is only possible if you have a fixed IP address environment.

The terminal will display a default Port Number Press Ok.
The terminal is now connected to the ECR/POS and will display Check ECR
screen.

From this point functionalities will be initiated via the ECR/POS
The terminal has connected to the ECR, now enter your 7-digit Merchant number
provided by the implementation manager on the ECR/POS.
The terminal will now connect to the host to download various files.
You will be asked to confirm the Date and Time. Press OK to confirm, the
terminal will now connect to the host.
In the left hand side of the ECR a terminal information receipt will appear.
You will need to remove the receipt from the screen for the terminal to
continue. You have several options of how to do this to choose from on
the top right had side of the receipt.Click on to drop the receipt into the
receipt panel this will appear bottom left of the ECR. Receipts can then be
retrieved as required.
Click on to delete, this will only delete the receipt on the screen.
Click on then right click this will enable you to print or save your receipt.
Click on to bring up the receipts from the receipts panel.
Click on clean to permantly clear all the receipts from the panel.

Key in the Supervisor Code you wish to set and Press Ok. You will be asked to
confirm the Supervisor Code and Press Ok.
A receipt will display on the ECR confirming the Supervisor Code has been set.
POS then prompts to enter the Supervisor Code. On entry, it will then prompt to
enter a new referral password and the re-enter it to confirm.
The terminal will now connect to the banking host, once connection has
completed a receipt confirming card types accepted will appear on the ECR/POS.
The terminal will make a final connection to the host to complete installation.

You can now initiate the various transaction types or functionalities through the
ECR.
The terminal will display your merchant number when the installation is complete.

Start-> Control Panel-> Windows Defender Firewall -> Turn Windows Defender
Firewall off. Change all options to Off and click OK.
Please note the firewalls should only be disabled for test terminal connection and the live
integration should be able to be used through the customers firewalls.
5. The Terminal will not respond to the ECR. This can be caused by updates
to Laptop/PC/Tablet.

The terminal will now reconnect with the ECR Press Ok
6. The ‘sharing’ tab does not appear on the WiFi properties option.
This is usually due to only having one network option, Eg WiFi.
When the Lane is plugged in this should appear as an ethernet
connection and resolve this. Otherwise you may need to try plug in
a second option such as an ethernet cable.
