    Side Pocket Mandrel & Valves

    The Side Pocket Mandrels are primarily designed for gas lift applications and provide full opening tubing bore allowing normal wireline operations while receiving any manufacturers 1.0 or 1 outside diameter gas lift valves. Tejas Side Pocket Mandrels have a positioning orienting sleeve to guide the Kick-over Tool into precise alignment with the side pocket. The slot in the orienting and tool guard guide the valve until it latches in place. All materials are procured to ASTM standards. Available materials are: AISI 4130, 13CR, S13CR, 9CR-MO, Inconel 718, or Incoloy 925. Smart design for use with a top BK-2 latch and bottom collet latch, and can be run in highly deviated wells as well as dual completions. The Mandrels feature a side pocket profile to receive gas lift valves, chemical injection valves, dummy valves, circulating valves, dump kill and shear orifice valves. Different porting configurations on the side pocket are available for casing flow, Chamber lift and water flood. Examples

    Each Side Pocket Mandrel is indicated by a letter representing its primary model features:
    Symbol M F O U -1 -2 R Description Oval mandrel using a machined style pocket and deflector guard. Oval mandrel using a forged style pocket and deflector guard. Orienting mandrel Special clearance mandrel with a reduced outside diameter. Uses a 1 outside diameter flow control valve. Uses a 1 outside diameter flow control valve. Round mandrel mainly used for increased pressures. SC Symbol BR Description Round mandrel manufactured from solid bar material mainly utilized on highpressure applications and when long operating life is desired. Round high-pressure mandrel utilized in high-pressure applications. Special clearance mandrel with reduced outside diameter for a medium to highpressure application. Mandrel is ported to flow from tubing to casing. Mandrel is ported to flow casing to tubing and exhaust through an external pipe for chamber lift installation. Chemical injection mandrel Water flood.

    Gas Lift Valves


    The Tejas Merla line of gas lift valves consists of casing pressure and tubing pressureoperated types for use in continuous and/ or intermittent flow gas lift production. Each valve is modularly constructed using 316 stainless and monel materials.
